Yesterday we concluded Wellbeing Pillar 4 – Online Safety.
This time we spoke about:
Villa du Lac house decided to do a group project for this pillar and we chose to delete/unfollow as many people as possible on our social media to be able to focus more and see people online who we actually know and care about.
We are proud to say that in total we deleted 980 accounts from our social media!
There was a group of students who volunteered to be part of Student Advocate Group for this Pillar. We are proud to say that Sofiya decided to join and you can check the video below that this group has created.
Sofiya also participated in the Assembly and gave a speech about the content of our posts online.
The girls had a lot of fun trying this VR Headset
This weekend the club was a success, many of our girls were looking forward to Sandwich Saturday.
Its a time where we can all get together, enjoy a movie, as well as delicious homemade sandwiches.
This weekend we had fresh baguette, tomatoes, avocado, pesto rosso, and some amazing salami for those who preferred the non-veg option.
Its becoming a small tradition in the house, even other houses are were wondering if they can join.
This year the Boarding community has been trying to foster more engagement with our neighbours in Versoix. We are very happy to share with you a movie that was made by local people, sponsored by the Mairie de Versoix, focusing on the diversity in our community. Our borders Herluce, Inès and Victor feature in this interesting film- it is worth watching in its entirety (the film is under half an hour), but if you are in a hurry our kids are at the 16.00 mark.
The girls are getting ready for graduation!
On Friday our seniors took their graduation pictures.

Today, our boarders got to go to a once in a life time event, Legends of Space.
From Villa du Lac, Sara, Ines, and Sofiya had the honor to go meet some legends.
In the conference we had 2 moonwalkers, David Scott (Apollo XV) and Charlie Duke (Apollo XVI ) , as well as Claude Nicollier (First and only Swiss astronaut) and many more surprises.
Singers-songwriters Mark Armstrong and Kali Armstrong, son and granddaughter of legendary Apollo 11 Astronaut and Commander Neil Armstrong, presented an emotional special music performance tribute to the heroes of human spaceflight and exploration.
