Some captured moments from this weekend.
There were plenty of activities to enjoy this weekend and the girls surely had fun.
Some enjoyed the adrenaline of playing Lazer Tag, while others participated of game night and arts and crafts.
Some of our girls decided to go to the Red Cross Museum, while others had an exciting adventure at the Dinosaur Exposition at PALEXPO.
In today’s assembly the girls were reminded of the great job they are doing academically.
We reviewed our third wellbeing pillar, Building Positive Relationships, and had the pleasure to see the projects of some of our wonderful boarders.
During this assembly we also touched on the topic of the pandemic, as we are still taking measures to keep our community safe.
As part of these measures we held this months assembly at the boarding house.
One of our boarders, Anastasiia, shared very special charity project she participated on, and her plans to continue this charity in the future.
On Monday we had a celebratory dinner !
Our first Ski Weekend in Cran Montana was amazing! As per CDL tradition, we had a choice of activities – skiing, snowboarding, excursion, skating, trampoline, snow tubing, free time in Cran Montana and study hall (with a great view).
This month our girls are learning about positive relationships.
On our third pillar we introduced Building Positive Relationships.
Building positive relationships with people is so important for our own sense of wellbeing.
During this pillar we will cover topics such as “What makes a good friend?”, toxic relationships, boundaries and positive relationships.
If you are interested in knowing more about this topic, please find a video attached to this post.

We nearly saved the world against hacker attacks in the escape room, had a lot of fun in the snow going down the hill with snow doughnuts and learned new tactics in chess!
We are really happy to welcome three new members to our VDL family – Fernanda, Ana Lucia and Valentina!
Looking forward to getting to know you better and hope you will enjoy your time at CDL!
STEP 1
Add 4 tbsp self-raising flour, 4 tbsp caster sugar and 2 tbsp cocoa powder to the largest mug you have (to stop it overflowing in the microwave) and mix.
STEP 2
Add 1 medium egg and mix in as much as you can, but don’t worry if there’s still dry mix left.
STEP 3
Add the 3 tbsp milk, 3 tbsp vegetable or sunflower oil and a few drops of vanilla essence and mix until smooth, before adding 2 tbsp chocolate chips, nuts, or raisins, if using, and mix again.
STEP 4
Centre your mug in the middle of the microwave oven and cook on High for 1½ -2 mins, or until it has stopped rising and is firm to the touch.
