Wellbeing Pillar 3: Building Positive Relationships

We’ve kicked off our third Wellbeing Pillar in Terray, focused on building positive relationships with ourselves and others. In this first week, we discussed how being kind to ourselves in our inner dialogue can improve both our wellbeing and relationships.

After a short video and lesson, the girls wrote their names inside a circle on paper, listing the roles they play and the positive traits they embody. They did a wonderful job recognizing what makes each of them unique and special. Then, each girl received a photo of another girl, wrote two compliments, and returned them.

These activities were a great way to reinforce the importance of self-love and recognition, as well as the power of positive reinforcement within a community. It was a wonderful reminder of how we can uplift ourselves and others in meaningful ways, setting a strong foundation for the next two weeks to come in our exploration of healthy, positive relationships.

Happy Lunar New Year!

After a very special Tuesday celebrating the Lunar New Year, we have continued the celebrations this Wednesday with another fantastic international dinner. The menu tonight featured delicious Chinese cuisine, including sweet and sour chicken, sauteed beef and onions, and shrimp tempura, all atop mountains of rice and noodles! We were so thankful to enjoy this special moment together celebrating a very special day. Terray wishes everyone a prosperous, happy, and healthy Lunar New Year!

This evening, we had a wonderful time celebrating the Lunar New Year! The girls enjoyed making beautiful lanterns, savouring delicious dumplings, and sharing heartfelt stories to mark this special occasion.

We would like to take this opportunity to send our warmest wishes to all our students and their families for a happy, prosperous, and joyful year ahead.

Terray Loves The Weekends💖

This weekend was filled with good times! The girls invited friends over, we enjoyed a cozy movie night, and they participated in several exciting activities Saturday & Sunday.

The mild weather on Saturday was perfect for an afternoon in Geneva. We strolled through the streets, visited shops, and paused to enjoy a warm coffee together! it was such a lovely outing!

On Sunday, some of the girls visited our local ice rink, where they had a great time gliding on the ice and sharing smiles.

Overall, it was a fantastic weekend—5/5! We absolutely love our weekends together. 💖

Dinner at Home – France!

This evening at Terray, we enjoyed another fabulous dinner at home! We adore dinners at home because it is a chance to share a meal together in the comfort of our own home as a family. On the menu tonight were Croque Monsieurs, creamy coleslaw, and delicious roasted potatoes. Quite a few of us went back for seconds (and thirds)! Check out some photos of our delicious meal below.

Crans Montana, here we come! ⛷️

What a weekend!

On Friday, we started our adventure by traveling to one of the most popular ski resorts: Crans Montana. There, the girls had the chance to enjoy the snow, breathtaking landscapes, sunny days, skiing, sledging… This was a memorable weekend indeed!

Best wishes,

Villa Terray  team 💙

Welcome Back Assembly + Moroccan Night!

Tonight, we had the first monthly boarding assembly of 2025! During this assembly, new students were welcomed to CDL, and those returning from Winter Break were welcomed back. We also heard a wonderful and inspiring poem by Rudyard Kipling, read by CDL’s prefects, and heard from students about the Japanese New Year and its traditions.

Afterward, we were treated to a Moroccan International Dinner, with cous cous, stewed vegetables and meat, and flatbreads. The dessert was a wonderful coconut orange cake, which made the meal one to remember! We are so happy to be back in the swing of things here at CDL, and we look forward to attending the upcoming Ski Weekend this weekend. Stay tuned for some snowy photos!

The Boarding House is Back in Full Swing!

We are thrilled to welcome back our girls after a well-deserved winter break. The house is once again buzzing with life, filled with stories of their vacations and the joy of reuniting with their boarding friends. It’s heartwarming to see them settle back into their rooms, catching up and sharing laughs with one another.

As we kick off the second semester, there’s a renewed sense of energy and determination in the air. Together, we are ready to embrace new challenges, make the necessary adjustments, and stay focused on achieving our goals for 2025.

Let the journey begin—here’s to another incredible semester ahead!
