This Weekend at Terray 27

Dear All,

We have had another fantastic weekend here at Terray 27, this one filled with extra holiday joy and spirit as we spent Saturday decorating the house for the Christmas season!

On Friday, we said “bon voyage!” to Kailin, Maria, Kapa, and Stella, who attended the trip to Disneyland Paris, one of the happiest places on Earth! Daria went to a sleepover at a friend’s house, enjoying some incredible homemade food. The rest of us came home from school and relaxed a bit before going to dinner and spending an hour playing badminton and basketball in Olympus, then returned to the house to get cozy on the couch and continue the series we’ve been watching.

Saturday, we went off to our favorite activities, including Cooking and Baking, Climbing, Art Club, and Badminton. Afterwards, we enjoyed some lunch together, then came back to the house to put on Christmas music and decorate the house! We then did a small study hall, joining forces with Champs des Bois afterwards to make paper snowflakes to hang around our homes. In the evening, we went to Champs des Bois to watch The Grinch all together, cozy on the couch with our popcorn.

The highlight of Sunday was, of course, the Montreux Christmas Market! This gorgeous market was filled with mouth-watering smells of delicious foods, incredible homemade items to keep as souvenirs or give as gifts, and, of course, breathtaking views of the mountains and Lake Geneva.

This weekend won’t be soon forgotten, and we look forward to more festivities as the holiday season continues!

Lots of love,

The Terray 27 Team

– EXCELLENCE WEEK –

This week we are celebrating another RISE Week, with a special focus on Excellence. For that reason, we want to share with our readers that Kailin has been recognized as Reader of the Week for her passion for reading. She always reads independently, and her daily summaries are outstanding.

In addition to her hard work, Kailin truly embodies what it means to be a leader among her peers. She is supportive, cheerful, and consistently encourages others with her positive spirit. We feel lucky to have her in our community and can’t wait to see everything she will achieve next.

✨ Terray Weekend Highlights ✨

What a fun and flavorful weekend at Terray!

Saturday kicked off with passion-fruit cheesecake baking and a peaceful horse-riding session. In the afternoon we took Mr. Usher’s dog, Dixie, out for a happy walk. The day ended with a cozy movie night watching Monsters, Inc.

Sunday began with some Pilates and a few impressive magic card tricks. In the afternoon we headed to the ice rink in Versoix for ice skating and a well-deserved hot chocolate. To finish, Miss Diletta treated everyone to a homemade Oreo cheesecake.

A sweet, active, and very fun weekend!

World Children’s Day at CDL🌏𐦂𖨆𐀪𖠋

Today, we take a moment to celebrate World Children’s Day, a day dedicated to recognising the rights, voices, and unique brilliance of every child around the world. In our boarding community, we are reminded daily of how inspiring, creative, and resilient our students are. This evening both junior houses joined to play and bring togetherness during this special day!

Here’s to our wonderful students! may they always feel confident to express themselves, dream boldly, and shape the future with compassion and courage. 💙

Happy World Children’s Day!

❄️❄️❄️

Tonight, it was our turn to explore Lebanese cuisine! With the cold setting in, and for some, this being their first winter here, we’ve been warming up with hot tea and soups. Tomorrow, a little snow is expected,  and we will celebrate World Children’s Day, observed on November 20th to mark the UN’s adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.

Good night from us!

Boarder Of The Week ❤︎

I am incredibly proud of Kapa. Her growth and journey at CDL have been truly exceptional. This week, I have chosen her as Boarder of the Week for her positive attitude toward every aspect of life in boarding, as well as her wonderful engagement during our weekend together.A huge well done to her!!! she has earned this recognition wholeheartedly and she is already excited to choose her privilege for the week!

A Weekend of Fun at Terray 27 🤩

Dear All,

Every weekend at CDL is filled with fun, laughter, and loads of enjoyable activities, and this weekend was no exception!

Our weekend started with some Friday fun playing hide-and-seek in our gym on campus in Olympus. The ultimate hide-and-seek champs this week? Flora and Jade! After lots of laughing, running, and playing, we returned to the house to unwind and relax in our pyjamas.

Saturday’s breakfast gave us a great start to the day, and we all ran off to our favorite activities. Jade worked hard rehearsing for the upcoming production of High School Musical, enjoying her time in the spotlight. We also went for a trip to the local shop on Saturday to get our weekly staples– a fun walk in the fresh air with a bit of rain to boot! Daria had a friend come over for a playdate, adding even more joy to our day. That evening, we got cozy on the couch to watch a hilariously fantastic movie, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, all together.

On Sunday, we attended Brunch, then went off for more fun. The special activity this Sunday was Bowling, which Flora and Kailin were keen to enjoy. Due the rainy weather on Sunday, we also took the opportunity to stay cozy, dry, and warm in the comfort of our home! We all worked hard during our Study Hall and guided reading session, and prepared ourselves to facilitate a successful start to the week.

We hope you had a wonderful weekend, too, and we wish you a lovely week ahead!

Lots of love,

Terray 27 Team 💖

It has been long overdue to display the amazing artwork our girls have produced in Terray. The wall has truly brightened up with fantastic pieces from this year and last year paintings! I carefully kept so they could be framed and shared for everyone to enjoy!

Please stay tuned, as I will continue adding more wonderful creations throughout the year. I am so proud of their talent and the quality of their work.
