This evening, the juniors from CDB and Terray gathered for a cheerful Secret Santa celebration filled with laughter and good company. The atmosphere was warm and lively as everyone enjoyed spending time together!
The group shared a variety of snacks, which everyone enjoyed while chatting and relaxing. It was a nice opportunity to bond and create a friendly, festive mood before the gift exchange began.
The highlight of the evening was opening the Secret Santa presents. Each gift was received with smiles and excitement, showing the thought and care behind them. Overall, it was a lovely evening of fun, togetherness, and happy memories for all the juniors. 🎁✨
Dear All,
This weekend at CDL was certainly one to remember, with the long-awaited Winter Ball as its shining highlight.
The festivities began on Thursday with a lovely visit from the primary principals, who joined us at Terray 27 to experience boarding life and enjoy a shared afternoon tea. On Friday, the weekend got off to a relaxed and familiar start with another much-loved Terray movie night. Saturday was intentionally kept lighter, with just a few activities planned to allow everyone ample time to prepare for the evening ahead. We also enjoyed a fantastic visit from Maya, a day student who stayed in Terray 27 for a week filled with fun last year!
Last night, we finally attended the highly anticipated Winter Ball at CDL. Excitement and anticipation had been building for weeks, and we were all thrilled to celebrate this truly momentous occasion at last.
After a busy afternoon of getting ready, the girls looked absolutely stunning as we made our way to the Mövenpick Hotel in Geneva. Upon arrival, we were welcomed into a beautifully decorated space filled with Christmas trees, festive ornaments, popcorn, and a delightful apéro featuring bite-sized treats and delicious punch.
The evening continued in the elegant banquet hall, complete with a dance floor and perfectly styled tables. We were seated alongside the wonderful Champs des Bois boarding house and enjoyed lively conversation as we were served a delicious three-course meal. We were also honoured to listen to heartfelt speeches from esteemed members of our boarding community.
The highlight of the night soon followed as everyone took to the dance floor. The energy was infectious, and we truly danced the night away. By the time it was time to return home, we were happily exhausted and ready for a well-deserved night of rest.
This magical evening will remain a cherished memory for years to come, and we are already eagerly looking forward to next year’s Winter Ball. ✨
Lots of love,
The Terray 27 Team

Today we celebrated one of Geneva’s most charming traditions in the Boarding House — the breaking of the chocolate marmite! The girls gathered together to smash the chocolate cauldrons, and inside we discovered colorful marzipan vegetables, symbolizing the legendary soup that saved the people of Geneva in 1602.
According to tradition, during the night of the attempted invasion by the Duke of Savoy, a local woman—often called Mère Royaume—spilled a pot of hot vegetable soup onto the attackers climbing the city walls, helping alert the citizens and defend the city. To honor this act of bravery, Genevans recreate the moment each year during the Fête de l’Escalade by breaking chocolate cauldrons filled with marzipan “ingredients.”
It was a fun, cozy, and meaningful celebration with the girls — a sweet way (literally!) to connect with a piece of local history.

This evening we joined the Boarding Department’s Winter Concert, and it was truly wonderful. Stella and Jasper performed an adorable choreography to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” which instantly filled the room with energy and smiles. We also enjoyed several other performances, including piano pieces, singing, ukulele, and a lively hip-hop dance routine.
It was such a cozy, beautiful, and festive night — the kind that brings everyone together and reminds us of the joy of the season. We loved sharing these moments as a group and celebrating the talents of all the students.
We are ready for the Saturday Winter Ball, so excited to wear our nice dresses and celebrate the end of a truly amazing term.

At the extracurricular activities concert in the Eiger Auditorium, two Terray girls stole the spotlight: Stella and Daria.
✨ Stella performed a beautiful ballet piece, moving with grace and elegance that captivated the whole audience.
🔥 Daria followed with an energetic hip-hop performance to “Black or White” by Michael Jackson, filling the room with power and rhythm.
Both girls were absolutely brilliant — and we’ll support them always. 💛

Good evening!
Today our Terray girls joined the Escalade in Geneva for a 2.3km run under the rain 🌧️
The weather forecast was definitely challenging and not for the weak, but the girls were able to face the rain and sprinting to the end line successfully!
After the run, we all went to McDonalds to get some well deserved food to warm up and fill our stomachs!
We’re very proud of our girls – we will keep supporting them in every challenge on their way!

Another week means another boarder has been chosen for their positive attitude toward daily boarding life!whether through good behaviour, good manners, or their dedication to reading every day. This week, I selected Daria for her helpful attitude and Jade for her recent efforts and progress in German. well done Girls 🙂
