A Belgian Dinner at CDL!

This week, the girls gathered for a Belgian-themed dinner at CDL, transforming the dining hall into a little corner of Brussels.

The evening began with Belgium’s most iconic dish: moules-frites. Steaming bowls of mussels in a savory broth were paired with golden fries — crispy on the outside, fluffy inside — a combination that quickly became the highlight of the table.

Next came chicory gratin with Edam. The creamy béchamel and melted cheese softened the chicory’s natural bitterness, turning it into a comforting and surprisingly popular dish. To balance the richness, the cooks served braised Swiss chard, tender and earthy, adding a rustic note to the menu.

The meal ended on the sweetest note: warm Belgian waffles crowned with whipped cream and colorful jams. Strawberry, apricot, and berry preserves made every bite feel festive and indulgent.

More than just a dinner, it was a celebration of flavors and togetherness. At Collège du Léman, Belgium came alive for one evening — and the girls enjoyed every moment! 🇧🇪

🏔️ A Magical Mountain Weekend in Leysin 🌲✨

This past weekend, our nine boarding girls set off for an unforgettable adventure in Leysin, surrounded by fresh mountain air, breathtaking views, and endless opportunities for fun.

The girls enjoyed a wide variety of activities that made the most of the beautiful Alpine setting:
🥾 Hiking & Trekking – exploring scenic trails and taking in stunning panoramas.
🚴 Cycling – feeling the thrill of the mountain paths on two wheels.
🎨 Art in the Forest – letting their creativity flow in nature, turning the woods into their very own open-air studio.

Of course, no weekend is complete without good food! The group shared delicious meals, from hearty mountain dishes to sweet treats, the perfect fuel for all their adventures.

Beyond the activities, the weekend was about friendship, laughter, and bonding—moments that brought the girls even closer together and created memories they’ll carry with them for a long time.

It was a truly special getaway, reminding us of the beauty of nature and the joy of spending time together. 🌿💛

Bravo, girls, for making the most of every moment in Leysin! 🏞️

First Italian Dinner at Collège du Léman!

🍕 A Slice of Italy: Our First Pizza Night! 🇮🇹

What better way to bring everyone together than with a taste of Italy? This week, our nine boarding girls at Collège du Léman enjoyed their very first Italian dinner at school—and it was a night to remember!

A bright red pizza truck rolled up, filling the air with the delicious smell of fresh dough, bubbling cheese, and just the right hint of spice. The excitement was contagious as the girls gathered around, ready to try a real Italian feast.

The menu didn’t disappoint:
🍕 Diavola 🔥 – spicy and full of flavor, for the adventurous.
🍕 Italia 🇮🇹 – fresh and colorful, just like the Italian flag.
🍕 Margherita ❤️ – the queen of pizzas, simple yet perfect.
🍕 Marinara 🌿 – fragrant, light, and authentic.
🍕 Quattro Stagioni 🍂❄️🌸☀️ – four flavors in one, a taste of every season.
🍕 Quattro Formaggi 🧀 – rich, creamy, and wonderfully cheesy.
🍕 Nutella Pizza 🍫🍓 – the sweetest surprise to end the night!

Every single girl had a smile on her face (and a slice in her hand!). They laughed, shared, and tasted a little bit of everything—proof that nothing brings people together quite like pizza.

It was more than just dinner; it was a moment of bonding, laughter, and new memories for our young boarders. And if the empty pizza boxes were any indication… it’s safe to say the evening was a huge success!

Here’s to many more shared meals and happy moments ahead. Buon appetito! ❤️🇮🇹

First weekend of activities in Terray!

The girls have just wrapped up their very first weekend here at the boarding school, and it’s safe to say it was filled with fun, energy, and plenty of new experiences.

On Saturday, Kapa and Daria spent their afternoon out on the tennis courts, practicing their swings and enjoying the sunshine. Jade joined Sora and Maria at the Art Club, where they explored their creative sides together. Meanwhile, Maria also got the chance to try horse riding, a highlight of the weekend for her. Flora rounded off the day by joining the Art Club session too, adding her own creative spark.

On Sunday, the courts were busy once again as Kapa, Daria, and Jade picked up their rackets for another round of tennis. Maria, on the other hand, set off on a special adventure — a boat trip to Yvoire with Sora and Flora, a beautiful way to spend the day and soak up the scenery.

In between these activities, the girls also had the chance to bond with one another and enjoy some well-deserved rest, making the weekend both lively and balanced.

It was a wonderful first weekend for all the girls, filled with both sports and creativity, as well as moments to bond with each other. We’re looking forward to seeing what the next weekends will bring!

A Real Start at Collège du Léman!

We had already unpacked and settled into our dorms last week, but now it feels different—it is the real start. This morning alarms went off early, and we all dragged ourselves out of bed for breakfast before heading off to our second full morning of classes at Collège du Léman. New teachers, new classrooms, and that mix of nerves and excitement that comes with the first proper school day, besides the first introductions. The morning was a mix of Maths, French, PE, and Literacy—jumping from numbers to verbs, running in the gym, and then settling back down with books. Busy, but it made the day go fast.

In the afternoons, our weekly activities kicked off:

  • Daria threw herself into Hip Hop and design.
  • Stella shined in musical theatre and design.
  • Flora got lost in the tech labs and had fun with acrylics.
  • Jasper loved book club and chess—she didn’t want them to end.
  • Kapa and Maria rode horses, and also had fun at the art club.
  • Jade jumped straight into debate club and business club—no surprise there.
  • Kailin practiced her French, even slipping in a few words at dinner. Business club was an interesting one!
  • Sora is finally here, and she will enjoy her afternoon activities tomorrow!

On Tuesday the girls also went to their first assembly, which was interesting for most of them!.. and less interesting for the ones who wanted to rush to dinner! The Swiss themed dinner was to die for!

By the evening, the nine of us were back together in the common room, swapping stories about our day. It’s only the first two days of the routine, but it already feels like life at Collège du Léman is really beginning!
