Day out to Balexert shopping Mall

A big thank you to our Boarding Activity Coordinator for organising a fantastic day out for all the boarders! The outing included a special treat to watch Wild Robot at the cinema ! A captivating movie that kept all boarders engaged, after the movie, the students enjoyed a meal followed by some free time in the shops.

New House Challenge Boarding Word Search!

A new initiative has been organised by our Senior House Parent, Mr. Gordon, who is in charge of the Boarding Representative Committee. The committee has decided to introduce a challenge for all boarding houses every two weeks to promote team-building skills.

I am pleased to confirm that the Terray girls thoroughly enjoyed participating in this week’s Word Search Challenge.

Get ready to put your detective hats on!🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️

Smile & Enjoy the Weekend :-)

We had a wonderful weekend with mild weather and beautiful autumn leaves creating a colourful, scenic backdrop that was a pleasure to admire. The girls chose a variety of activities, including baking, horse riding, hip-hop dancing, November fitness challenge and on Sunday, Terray attended an air-loop trampoline day trip. Of course, no weekend would be complete without our evening gathering to watch a movie together. Overall, it was a pleasant and restful weekend.

A taste of Japan!

This special international  dinner, we treated ourselves to a wonderful Japanese feast, a favourite for food lovers from all over the world. The experience was nothing short of delicious.

International Moroccan Dinner :-)

We had a wonderful dinner tonight inspired by the flavours of North Africa “Morocco”. The spices and aromas were exceptional, and we enjoyed a delicious lamb couscous  with a warm traditional salad served with small pitta bread. To top it off, we were served sweet mint tea and biscuits, making it an absolute treat!

A Love For Reading!

At Terray boarding house, we are passionate about encouraging our students to engage with and embrace reading in all its forms! We’ve introduced a daily habit where everyone reads for 20 minutes together and then shares a brief summary of their book. This not only fosters a love for reading but also sparks interest in different genres and titles across the group.

We’ve also brainstormed a few exciting activities to make reading even more interactive:

  • Design a book cover: Students can re-imagine the cover of a book they’re reading or create one for a book they would like to write.
  • Book swap: We’ll organise a fun book exchange where everyone can share their favourite reads.
  • Library visits: Setting aside a specific day to visit the school library to explore new books and genres.
  • Create your own comic book: Using templates, students can illustrate and write their own comic stories, blending creativity and reading.
  • Write and perform a short play: Students will work together to write a short play and perform it, using props and costumes from around the house.

The possibilities are endless, but our goal remains the same—to instil a love for reading as a lifelong hobby. I’m excited to share a few pictures that capture these wonderful moments in the house!

Football Tournament

Léman vs Terray: The girls, joined by Champs des Bois, formed a strong team and played in their first boarding tournament. Despite the defeat, we celebrated their resilience and sportsmanship. The match ended with a score of 5-1.
