A taste of Japan!
This special international dinner, we treated ourselves to a wonderful Japanese feast, a favourite for food lovers from all over the world. The experience was nothing short of delicious.
Last weekend before the holidays! 🍂
Dear all,
As the weather gets slightly colder, reminding us of the autumn season, the holidays are also approaching fast! The girls are very excited to ge going back home and we can’t wait to hear about all their fun memories.
This weekend was full of revision and preparation for summatives and formatives for the upcoming week. They did appreciate to spend time chilling at home, under a cossy blanket while watching Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Some other activities the girls were involved in include cooking, tennis and horse riding.
Have a great two weeks break when it comes and a nice start of the week.
Kind regards,
Villa Terray team 🩵
International Moroccan Dinner :-)
We had a wonderful dinner tonight inspired by the flavours of North Africa “Morocco”. The spices and aromas were exceptional, and we enjoyed a delicious lamb couscous with a warm traditional salad served with small pitta bread. To top it off, we were served sweet mint tea and biscuits, making it an absolute treat!
A Love For Reading!
At Terray boarding house, we are passionate about encouraging our students to engage with and embrace reading in all its forms! We’ve introduced a daily habit where everyone reads for 20 minutes together and then shares a brief summary of their book. This not only fosters a love for reading but also sparks interest in different genres and titles across the group.
We’ve also brainstormed a few exciting activities to make reading even more interactive:
- Design a book cover: Students can re-imagine the cover of a book they’re reading or create one for a book they would like to write.
- Book swap: We’ll organise a fun book exchange where everyone can share their favourite reads.
- Library visits: Setting aside a specific day to visit the school library to explore new books and genres.
- Create your own comic book: Using templates, students can illustrate and write their own comic stories, blending creativity and reading.
- Write and perform a short play: Students will work together to write a short play and perform it, using props and costumes from around the house.
The possibilities are endless, but our goal remains the same—to instil a love for reading as a lifelong hobby. I’m excited to share a few pictures that capture these wonderful moments in the house!
Football Tournament
Léman vs Terray: The girls, joined by Champs des Bois, formed a strong team and played in their first boarding tournament. Despite the defeat, we celebrated their resilience and sportsmanship. The match ended with a score of 5-1.
Sunday 5Km Run
A huge congratulations to our girls Alessia, Julia, Melissa, and Victoire for participating in the 5 km run this Sunday! A special thanks to our coordinator, Ms. Perine, for organising this fun event that not only keeps our boarders active but also brings everyone together for a great time.
Sunday Brunch
Brunch is always a feast enjoyed by both boarders and house parents . A big thank you to our chefs and the entire kitchen team for consistently delivering such delicious meals!
