Terray 27 Girls attending the 1st Boarding Assembly!

The girls had a fun time in the playground during social hours, and we were delighted to have a visit from our lovely boarding counsellor, who introduced herself to our boarders and explained her role in the boarding community. We enjoyed breakfast in Léman, our evening meditation—a moment of bliss after a busy day. Today, the girls also voted for the house captain and house representative. The results were announced by Jade, and the chosen students are Alessia and Julia.

We had a full house today as students gathered to mingle and cook together. The kitchen was filled with delicious aromas, though it quickly turned into a bit of a chaotic scene—far too many cooks in one place! But what truly mattered was the shared experience and the opportunity to start building close friendships.

We wrapped up the afternoon with some group games, and we were delighted to have a senior student visit to volunteer and join in the fun.

On Friday after school, we invited boarders from a different house to join us for a movie night—a wonderful start to the weekend! The girls enjoyed their badminton lesson this morning, then we played a great new game Sushi Go ( lots of giggles and competition took place). In the afternoon, we took a trip to Geneva. We stopped for refreshments and ice cream, and then visited a few stores. Julia and Alessia decided to buy some essentials to cook a special dish for Sunday. Judging by the ingredients, I can’t wait to try their creation. Stay tuned to find out how it turns out!

This first weekend was very eventful for the girls, as they enjoyed a variety of activities including horseback riding, watching a movie in Champs des Bois, cooking, playing board games and football, making new friends, and playing the piano.

We are very much looking forward to spending the year together. We are proud to see the values we cherish being embraced from the very beginning—kindness to one another, internationalism, spirit, and a commitment to improvement through hard work. We are truly proud of this strong start, girls!

The much-anticipated day has finally arrived! Our JB Terray girls have joyfully begun their school journey, filled with a wonderful mix of nerves and excitement as they met their new classmates and teachers. The photos beautifully capture these emotions. We wish them all a fantastic academic year ahead!

Later in the evening, both new and returning boarding students attended the first monthly Assembly of the year, which was followed by a delightful Swiss-themed international dinner.

Today was Primary Orientation Day for Jade, our Primary student at JB Terray. In the evening, everyone visited the Aquaparc and had a fantastic time together!

Middle School Orientation Day is here, and all students and families had the chance to meet some of their teachers and take some exciting placement tests in Maths, English, and French. The girls also showed a great interest in football today, enjoying a wonderful game as a house, which provided a fantastic bonding experience.

Today, the families and students attended the Welcome Assembly led by Mr. Usher, followed by a delightful Treasure Hunt to explore the campus. We’re excited to share that a team composed of kids from Concha and three JB Terray girls finished in first place! We’re confident they now know all the houses and buildings on campus.
