World Children’s Day at CDLπŸŒπ¦‚π–¨†π€ͺπ– ‹

Today, we take a moment to celebrate World Children’s Day, a day dedicated to recognising the rights, voices, and unique brilliance of every child around the world. In our boarding community, we are reminded daily of how inspiring, creative, and resilient our students are. This evening both junior houses joined to play and bring togetherness during this special day!

Here’s to our wonderful students! may they always feel confident to express themselves, dream boldly, and shape the future with compassion and courage. πŸ’™

Happy World Children’s Day!

❄️❄️❄️

Tonight, it was our turn to explore Lebanese cuisine! With the cold setting in, and for some, this being their first winter here, we’ve been warming up with hot tea and soups. Tomorrow, a little snow is expected, Β and we will celebrate World Children’s Day, observed on November 20th to mark the UN’s adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.

Good night from us!

A Weekend of Fun at Terray 27 🀩

Dear All,

Every weekend at CDL is filled with fun, laughter, and loads of enjoyable activities, and this weekend was no exception!

Our weekend started with some Friday fun playing hide-and-seek in our gym on campus in Olympus. The ultimate hide-and-seek champs this week? Flora and Jade! After lots of laughing, running, and playing, we returned to the house to unwind and relax in our pyjamas.

Saturday’s breakfast gave us a great start to the day, and we all ran off to our favorite activities. Jade worked hard rehearsing for the upcoming production of High School Musical, enjoying her time in the spotlight. We also went for a trip to the local shop on Saturday to get our weekly staples– a fun walk in the fresh air with a bit of rain to boot! Daria had a friend come over for a playdate, adding even more joy to our day. That evening, we got cozy on the couch to watch a hilariously fantastic movie, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, all together.

On Sunday, we attended Brunch, then went off for more fun. The special activity this Sunday was Bowling, which Flora and Kailin were keen to enjoy. Due the rainy weather on Sunday, we also took the opportunity to stay cozy, dry, and warm in the comfort of our home! We all worked hard during our Study Hall and guided reading session, and prepared ourselves to facilitate a successful start to the week.

We hope you had a wonderful weekend, too, and we wish you a lovely week ahead!

Lots of love,

Terray 27 Team πŸ’–

Art Project from Terray Girls πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈ

It has been long overdue to display the amazing artwork our girls have produced in Terray. The wall has truly brightened up with fantastic pieces from this year and last year paintings! I carefully kept so they could be framed and shared for everyone to enjoy!

Please stay tuned, as I will continue adding more wonderful creations throughout the year. I am so proud of their talent and the quality of their work.

A Wednesday at CDL!

Good evening πŸ™‚

Well, like every Wednesday we have an International dinner: today it was South Korean!

After dinner, there was a football game in which Jasper played, and some of the girls went to cheer for CDB and Terray, who were on the same team. After the game, it was shower time, reading, and Assembly!

Tomorrow more!!

Burger at Home! πŸ”

This weekend, Kapa, Daria, Jade, and Sora joined the boys from Champ des Bois for a fun cooking session! Together they made a rich chocolate marquise, a fruity raspberry coulis, and crispy langues de chat biscuits. πŸ“πŸͺ

A great mix of teamwork, laughter, and sweet results β€” CDL weekends at their best! πŸ’•

This Weekend at Terray 27!

The weekend started off with a delicious Halloween-themed dinner in LΓ©man, then the junior houses joined forces to make the most of the opportunity for free candy! Trick-or-treating was an absolute delight, and we all brought home bags of sweets to enjoy for days to come.

On Saturday, we had a quiet but fulfilling day, filled with some of our favorite weekend activities, including Horse Riding, Tennis, and Cooking. After lunch, we went to Coop with Champs des Bois to purchase weekly staples. The walk there and back was gorgeous, with beautiful Swiss fall colors on full display! That evening, we got cozy on the couch and started a riveting new series together, complete with lots of popcorn to share.

After enjoying our weekly sleepovers, we took time to sleep in and wake up slowly on Sunday before heading out for one of our favorite meals of the week β€” brunch! Then, we departed for Aquatis in Lausanne, a stunning aquarium and vivarium. We were able to see fish, reptiles, mammals, and even insects from all around the world. Our favorite exhibit? A tie between the monkeys and the Komodo dragons! Check out some photos of our wonderful visit below.

To wrap up our weekend, we got back into our Sunday evening routine and prepared for the upcoming week with our Sunday study hall and reading session.

Here’s to a fantastic week ahead!
