On Sunday all boarders the had opportunity to have a great Concha party, where we had lots of fun and tasty food.Thank you for organizing this for us.
On Wednesday we will celebrate the International Day in Concha with everybody, the classes will be shorter and everyone can go there to eat food from a lot of countries. Our girls, from the Russian team are trying hard to cook and have everything ready and on time for the event. Nice work girls! 🙂
Yesterday, Saturday 24th of May, took place in St. Gallen the 18th SWISS CHEERLEADING COMPETITION, and one of our girls, Regina Makina, together with all her team, Odyssey Cheerleading, lead by Cat and Alison, went the to compete against other teams from all over Switzerland.
We woke up really early in order to take the bus to St. Gallen, after 5 hours in the bus the team arrived to the Athletikzentrum where the competition was going to take place.
Since the team got into the bus you could feel that they were tired but they were very motivated given the amount of effort and work that they put during the whole year. The were ready and with the motivation of giving the best that they had. The support and advices from Alison and Cat was the key to keep the team spirit, they tried to keep the team as close as they could, motivate everyone, rehearse and give the last details for their routine and just letting them know that it was already a huge success to have made it to St. Gallen. The only thing that Alison was asking from them is to have fun, enjoy their performance and the ambience of this competition and just to give the best of themselves.
I had the opportunity to watch this team grow during the whole year, practice after practice, overcome all the obstacles that they were finding on their road to Nationals. I can say that their both performances were stunning and that all their hard work paid off yesterday. Although the level was really high in this competition they had the ability to forget about the pressure and all the nerves that were appearing before they had to performed, and they did in their first performance and the last one so much better than in the rehearsal during the whole day. It was really something that you can only understand if you see it live!
CATEGORY: SENIOR GROUPSTUNT
CATEGORY: SENIOR COED CHEER
A lot of emotions were appearing by the end of the event, the Awards Ceremony was getting closer and everyone worked so hard to reach their maximum but most of all to take a trophy back home.
They won 2 awards!!!!
* 2nd Place on the Category of Senior Groupstunt + Â 4th Place on the Category of Senior Coed Cheer *
I cannot thank enough the whole team for letting me be a part of this experience, to our girl, Regina, for being an example of commitment and hard work and to Alison and Cat for everything that they have done this year, their passion, their commitment and motivation, the amount of hours and work that they spent with routines, trips, competitions, rehearsals, practices, etc it was really out of the ordinary. GREAT JOB TO ALL OF YOU! You should all feel proud of everything you have accomplished this year! You deserve it!
It was a long day but it was definitely worth it! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WHOLE TEAM!!!, you all are amazing and you are destined to achieve great things in the future, no doubt!
 SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!
