We had a sweet little celebration in the boarding house this Monday for Patricia’s birthday!🎈🪄Lots of smiles and love from the boarding house family❤️ 😍…and of course delicious cake to share🎂.

Here we are at the end of the weekend… a little tired but happy! ☺️
Here are all the things we did over these two days…

Lots of sports: tennis, pilates, body shaping, running… but also an art class to express all our creativity 🌈🌈
And some of us even went to Yvoire, a beautiful village in France, on the opposite shore of the lake!
Lots of sunshine and good company to recharge our batteries and get ready for our second week of school.

And finally, the weekend begins… in the sweetest way possible! Our amazing girls delighted us with a delicious cinnamon rolls topped with buttercream!😋 There’s no better way to start this weekend! We have lots of activities ahead of us and we need strength and energy!

This morning, the girls are busy with various activities such as banana boating, art class, cooking class, tennis… and in the afternoon, free time in Geneva for shopping and exploring!

The new school year is here, and Portena Boarding House is buzzing with excitement! 🏡 Our girls have settled in, filled the house with laughter (and just a little bit of unpacking chaos 😉), and we are ready to make this year one to remember.

We’ve already started the term with some great adventures – from exploring the charming village of  Gruyères and visiting the chocolate factory for some sweet treats 🍫 to enjoying sunny weekend mornings out on the lake.

It’s shaping up to be a fantastic year at CDL. Welcome home, girls- let’s make this year amazing! 🌟

Summer holidays have come to an end and we are so excited to welcome everyone back! Boarding is officially open, and here at Portena we are more than ready to receive all our returning girls. We have also welcomed our new students, and we couldn’t be happier to see their smiles and excitement as they begin this journey 🥰

This past Tuesday marked a special milestone for our youngest girls at Portena, their Middle School graduation!

They’ve worked hard, grown so much, and have now officially closed an important chapter in their lives. We couldn’t be more proud of everything they’ve achieved.

Now, a new adventure begins: High School! It’s a big step, full of new challenges, friendships, and opportunities. We know they’re ready — and we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.

We can’t believe the school year is almost over, time has flown by so quickly! This weekend marked the final one of the 2024-2025 academic year. Although there weren’t as many students as usual, those who stayed on campus made the most of the last weekend activities.

The girls from Porteña especially enjoyed participating in Cooking and Tennis, showing off their skills and having a great time together. Today, as a special end-of-year celebration, all the boarders went to Concha’s garden for an epic water-themed party. From fun aquatic games to relaxing by the pool, it was the perfect way to wrap up the year. 🏊🏻‍♀️

We hope next year’s weekend activities are just as successful and full of unforgettable memories!

Yesterday was a very special day at Portena as we celebrated the graduation of some of our amazing girls. Families came from all over the world to be here, and the whole house was filled with love, laughter, and happy tears. It was a beautiful evening where we looked back on all the memories we’ve shared and how much each girl has grown during her time with us.

We said goodbye to Meme, Bice, Coco, Sayuri, Hannah, Defne, Venus, and Raquel. Each one of them has brought something unique and wonderful to our Portena family. While we are sad to see them go, we are also so proud of them and excited to see what comes next. We’ll miss you girls so much, and we wish you all the best in your next chapter!

Today was a special and emotional day at Collège du Léman as we held the Leavers Assembly, a moment to celebrate the boarders who are leaving this year to begin their university journey. Mr. Usher gave a heartfelt speech, and it was also announced where each graduating student will be heading next — a proud and touching moment for everyone present.

From Portena, we were so proud to see Bice, Venus, Sayuri, and Defne there, representing us beautifully. Although Hanna, Meimei, Coco, and Raquel couldn’t attend in person, we truly felt their presence with us throughout the ceremony. Each of them has left a meaningful mark on our community, and now they move forward to exciting new chapters.

We say goodbye with full hearts — filled with memories, gratitude, and hope for what’s to come. The future is bright, and no matter where life takes them, they will always have a home here. Good luck, girls!
