Little by little, we are encouraging the girls to discover new skills and experiences, and this week was a lovely example of personal growth. Patricia, who had never even picked up a spoon before, surprised us all by learning how to cook noodles to perfection! With the patient guidance of Mila, one of our most talented cooks, she not only managed but truly shined in the kitchen. The next challenge on her cooking journey? Preparing her very own special dish: steak! One step at a time, and each step is worth celebrating. Moments like these remind us that boarding life is about so much more than academics—it’s about learning, trying, and growing together.

BEHIND THE SCENES:

Today has been a very complete and special day at boarding. We started the afternoon with our monthly assembly, which was both interesting and inspiring. The main topic was respect and cultural diversity. We reflected on how important it is to treat others kindly and to celebrate the different cultures that make our community unique.

After enjoying some social time, the Grade 8 girls had their usual reading session. It’s always a calm and focused moment, where they can relax and enjoy their books together 📕

To end the day with a fun tradition, we had karaoke night 🎤. With music, lights, and lots of singing and laughter, it created the perfect atmosphere to finish the day in the best way possible.

It was a day full of learning, reflection, and fun. Just what boarding life is all about!

This evening, Portena came alive with laughter, comfort, and community as we gathered for a special movie night. It was the perfect way to close a Monday—sharing stories on the screen and enjoying moments off it, side by side. The cozy atmosphere gave everyone a chance to relax, recharge, and simply be together. Nights like these remind us that the best way to end the day is in good company, with smiles and memories that carry us forward.

Here we are at the end of another weekend full of activities, but finally with a bit of rest too, which was much needed after the mountain trip and the Discovery Days!😉

On Saturday and Sunday, we had a blast with tennis lessons, French pastry-making, horse riding, pilates, bodyshaping, art, and even some Community Service to take care of our campus and clean up all the trash left behind during the week.

On Sunday afternoon, we had the House Competition Sports Day, each house competed in different games and activities, and in the end… ice cream for everyone! 🍦🍦

This past weekend, our girls had an unforgettable Mountain Weekend filled with adventure, fresh air, and lots of fun! We split into two groups, with our seniors heading to stunning Verbier and our juniors exploring the beautiful mountain village of Leysin.❤️

Both groups enjoyed a full schedule of exciting outdoor activities. From all-day treks⛰ and mountain biking🚵‍♀️ to orienteering and mountain navigation🗺, rock climbing and ziplines🧗‍♀️. Everyone was busy challenging themselves and building great memories with their friends🙌🏼.

The weather was kind☀️, the views were breathtaking🌄 and the energy was high all weekend long. It was a perfect chance for everyone to enjoy nature, work as a team and step out of their comfort zones in the best way possible.

We’re proud of how adventurous and enthusiastic all girls were – and we can’t wait for the next one!🫶

We had a sweet little celebration in the boarding house this Monday for Patricia’s birthday!🎈🪄Lots of smiles and love from the boarding house family❤️ 😍…and of course delicious cake to share🎂.

Here we are at the end of the weekend… a little tired but happy! ☺️
Here are all the things we did over these two days…

Lots of sports: tennis, pilates, body shaping, running… but also an art class to express all our creativity 🌈🌈
And some of us even went to Yvoire, a beautiful village in France, on the opposite shore of the lake!
Lots of sunshine and good company to recharge our batteries and get ready for our second week of school.
