A walk by the lake
What better way to spend a lovely Sunday afternoon than to take a stroll by the lake nearby? Selena and Yulia paid a visit to the swans, who seemed quite hungry!
Did you know…
- Swans are not greedy creatures and will only eat what they need (but mould is poisonous to them so if you give them bread make sure it is fresh!)
- Swans can sleep standing on one leg or whilst floating, usually with their heads tucked back under a wing.
- Swans mate for life. If a mate is lost then the surviving mate will go through a grieving process like humans do, after which it will either stay where it is on its own, fly off and find a new stretch of water to live on.
