Not gonna lie, this weekend has been hectic for the Concha boys. For us, it comes as no surprise that they signed up for different activities to keep themselves busy and entertained during the weekend after a long week of school lessons, homework and projects. They have found the perfect activities to disconnect from their routines and spend time doing what they love! Be it Geneva time, climbing, running, golf or cooking, our Concha boys are insanely good at making the most of their leisure time on weekends 😄
Nathan and Emir were incredibly good at Boxing
After breakfast in the Léman Cafeteria, our Concha boys took on a new challenge: making pancakes! 🤩🥞
Mr Tarun, with the help of Firdavs, Kike and Javi (Stars!), got all the ingredients needed to make the tastiest pancakes the boys could have ever tried. During the cooking process, Zhengtai was thrilled and totally engaged. Javi, João, Gianni and Eduardo joined later, as they wanted to try the pancakes Mr Tarun and Zhengtai had been making together. We counted on the perfect combination: pancakes, maple syrup, chill music, Disney + and good company. What else could we ask for?
Bonding moments like this one make us reflect upon the special and beautiful community the kids are part of in the Concha Boarding House. Cooking and enjoying food is one of the things that make them actively speak and find out new things about one another, no matter where they come from! The common objective is clear: making lifelong international friends! 🌍
Fanyang & Juze participated in the Colour Run, an event held here in Concha to kick of the start of our Global Fitness Challenge!
Today, Ms Manuella from the Marketing Department paid our Concha boys an unexpected visit. All together with Mr Víctor, they organised a filming session for the school’s social media.
Today’s challenge was simply to translate some words from a list into their languages, so as to promote internationalism in our school and prove how enriching being surrounded by people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds can be for the kids. They are really lucky!
Three outstanding students decided to join the video, Adrian (Switzerland), Fanyang (China) and Firdavs (Uzbekistan). Mr Víctor (Spain) joined as well representing the staff and adding a fourth language to the video.
If you want to see the final result, stay tuned to the school’s social media. Don’t miss out!
The Concha boys had a great time at Europa Park, diving into the excitement of the roller coasters. They raced from ride to ride, enjoying the adrenaline rush as they tackled each thrill. With plenty of laughter and friendly competition, the day was all about making memories together and enjoying the rides that pushed their limits.
Tim has discovered the thrilling sport of climbing. He has joined this club for the past few weekends. Despite not having any prior experience he has now taken his climbing to a new level. He manages to climb some of the more tricky routes and is even starting to lead climb with a rope on the 15 metre wall!
Today, we got to enjoy some Chinese flavors in our school dining hall. The menu featured a range of dishes, from fried rice to dumplings, and of course, stir-fried noodles. It was a great way to mix up our usual meals and try something different.
Using chopsticks was a bit of a challenge for some of us. There was a bit of fumbling as we tried to pick up noodles and navigate our way through the meal. Luckily, there were plenty of helping hands around to give us a quick lesson and help us get the hang of it.
For many students, this was a first-time experience with Chinese food, and it was a good opportunity to try something new. It’s interesting how food can give us a glimpse into another culture, sparking conversations and curiosity.
