Today we had a spot of sunshine to round off a chilly and rainy week. The boys took full advantage of it!

Our boys enjoyed a very busy day, from boxing & climbing to going for a run and a day trip to Geneva and more!

This lovely Saturday morning, we went for a little walkabout to give Mana and Kimi some change of scenery to inspire their photography.

Tonight, Concha was filled with laughter and the delicious aroma of freshly baked lasagna. Our boys gathered around a long table, sharing stories and enjoying the hearty meal together. The warm, cheesy lasagna brought everyone closer, creating a sense of family and friendship. It was a simple yet memorable evening, reminding us all of the joy that comes from sharing food and moments with those around us.

While every morning the boys leave for school and enter the teacher zone, this afternoon we welcomed the students teachers into the boarder zone!

We were lucky enough to have both high school teachers and middle school teachers visit us in Concha for some cookies, crisps, chess and more.

Four of our boys have stepped up to represent their peers in different areas of boarding life.

Together, they bring a diverse range of skills and passion, ensuring every aspect of boarding life thrives and grows.

Joao serves as House Captain, promoting school spirit, unity, and leadership.

Nathan oversees the Boarding House Committee, focusing on enhancing the living environment and student well-being.

Alex has taken charge of the Charity Committee, organizing events and fundraisers to support causes close to the students’ hearts.

Emir leads the Dining Committee, working to ensure the dining experience is enjoyable, varied, and nutritious.

On Sunday, our Concha boys joined in for a morning of fun before heading back to school.  They tackled Parcour, mastering agility, and teamwork through exciting obstacle courses.  In the Survival session, they learned key wilderness skills like shelter-building.  Creativity shone during Land Art, where they used nature as their canvas, and they wrapped up with Nature Journaling, capturing the beauty of their surroundings.

Today was a day packed with excitement and adventure as Concha Boarding House, along with the whole CDL community, embraced the great outdoors in Leysin. With perfect weather and stunning mountain views, everyone had the chance to break free from the daily routine and dive into an array of thrilling outdoor activities.

This evening we had our September Boarding Assembly, where we watched a lovely video of the first few weeks, listened while two of our students discussed the triathlon they completed and introduced our first well-being pillar related to exercise and healthy habits (more to come!)

We also enjoyed Lebanese cuisine for this weeks International dinner!
