This harvest season, please ensure
You get some sleep, and plenty more
As there is nothing better than lots of rest
To hit the ground running feeling our best
This week’s International Dinner at the Léman cafeteria brought the vibrant flavors of Spain to our tables! This week we saw a Spanish-inspired menu that brought the taste of the Mediterranean to the tables of CDL.
Tapas style, crispy patatas bravas, roasted escalivada vegetables, and a tomato gazpacho — all topped off with a rich, creamy cheesecake for dessert (YUMMMMMM). Spanish music and karaoke (arranged by the wonderful Mr.Ronan and Sam) added to the festive atmosphere, making it a night full of great food, culture, and fun. As always the boys had a great time and soaked up the nights ambience!!!
Sorel, Dario, Kenneth, Fede and Javi all took part in a 3v3 football tournament organised by the staff and students going to the upcoming Tanzania School Trip. The tournament was a charity event to raise money for children in need in Tanzania. It was a great turn out, lots of students made teams and gave donations, making sure to have a great competion at the same time.
Well done and thank you boys!
So happy to see lots of the Concha Climbing Crew join the club this Saturday! Artem, Ege, Fede and Kenneth really challenged themselves today, showing grit and perseverance on the wall. Fede showed off some great techniques using his body positioning to help him reach higher. We also spoke about the importance of ”reading the route”. Before you climb you should always try to visualise the hand movements and footwork that you will need to get to the top, this will help your flow when you climb instead of having to stop, think and look for the next hand holds.
They all did great – Well done boys!
