The Weekend Round Up

With most of our boys away in Disneyland, the house has indeed been quiet. But quite doesn’t mean boring! From our usual weekend activities, to movie nights and cooking together, it has been a lovely opportunity to spend some quality time with the boys that were here this weekend.

Sharing Is Caring!

This Saturday, two of our superstars, Efe and Kimi, woke up bright and early to very kindly help out with the Samedi du Partage.

This is a lovely initiative undertaken by local grocery stores where people can donate non – perishable goods and toiletries to help support those in need during this cold winter season and going forward.

It’s a beautiful way for our boys to get involved with the local community and to give back.

It’s also a great way to get out of their comfort zone and practice their language skills!

Our dear Mr. Ronan accompanied Group 1 of our intrepid volunteers and got the day started bright and early.

Reading Club In Concha

Our Activity Leader, Eleador, led the Reading Club tonight. Our Grade 8 boys again picked up their books and fully immersed themselves into these stories. Eleador followed up with the boys recapping what they read and checked their reading diaries. Good job boys!

CDL Boarding House Climbing Competition

Strategy, strength, flexibility, endurance, mindset, balance, problem-solving and perseverance. All this and more are the qualities that our climbers proved to us on Saturday morning.

Our 2nd Annual CDL Boarding House Climbing Competition took place this weekend. An event hosted by the Climbing Club that brings students from all across Boarding to represent their house and win valuable points for the House Competition. Our athletes, Artem and Petr, climbed really well, showing effort and enthusiasm to this tactital event. The climbers have 1 and a half hours to complete as many boulder problems as possible, earning more or less points depending on the difficulty. We are proud to say Artem and Petr gave it their all and together mangaged to help Concha place 4th in the overall results!

Well done climbing crew for bringing back the points to our House and bring on the next challenge!

Facing the crowd!

Lovely footwork, tip-toeing for that last move!

Sunday Funday!

Saturday Shenanigans!

We had a rainy Saturday here in Versoix, but with plenty of indoor activities around we could fend off the temptation to curl up and enjoy the pitter patter.
