We hope you have all had a lovely Spring break.
With the spring buds opening on the trees and wild flowers blooming all across the lawn, Concha is looking quite colorful!
Most of our kids found it a bit strange that we had our dinner at home today. As they are leaving this week and by Thursday some of them will be already gone, the Boarding Team decided to make it happen today so as for a greater number of kids to enjoy this bonding experience with their House Parents.
This week we had food from the Middle East. The main dish was chicken kebab with potatoes on one side. We also got to drink some peach iced tea and taste delicious, mouth-watering cream puff pastries. As the weather was nice, we sat with the Concha Boys in the garden and enjoyed the view.
Fanyang helped Mr Tarun serve the food ๐ฝ๏ธ
This looks delicious!
They were the first lucky ones to try today’s dinner ๐คฉ
Good company + great food + nice views = everlasting memories
“Guys, look at the camera!”
This selfie is worth millions!
Dinner with a view
Fun fact: after dinner, Joรฃo, Gianni and Adrian headed to the gym. Yes, it was a heavy meal ๐ฎโ๐จ
Today, Fanbo, Jiarui, Emir, Tim, Vincent and Sam had an important basketball match against the day students team. They trained hard to do their best in the match. Some of them scored some points and their moves and strategies were impressive! They communicated, passed the ball to one another regularly as an actual, united team and cheered one another up even from the bench!
They have demonstrated they fight hard to reach their objectives and do not lack strategy skills. Well done, boys!

Give it all, Emir!
Sam, Fanbo, the victory has to be ours! ๐
A long second before scoring a well-deserved triple ๐๐ป
Energy-draining match, but it was absolutely worth the experience!
Joao, Eduardo, Henrique and Emir spent some time on Sunday afternoon with the amazing Ms. Rym in the Champs des Bois garden, helping her take apart some pallets, prune some trees, dig up some soil…and jumping on the trampoline!
Another lovely evening of reading goes by.
Javier and Firdavs compete to see who is further in the Outsiders, Zhengtai explores the Secret Garden and Sam delves into the human anthropology of Sapiens.
Our dear Joao graced us with his presence this evening as he read the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin and later, in our sharing session, talked about his opinions on some the books the other boys were reading.
Our words for this evening are Meaningful, Themselves, Sleeve, Dumbfounded and Menagerie.
This bright Sunday afternoon Fanyang, Daniel and Juze spent some time out on the greens, working on their swing. While the wind worked against them, the sun shining down on them made any shot – no matter how curved it might be – a good one.
After a cold snowy winter and a rainy beginning of spring, the sunny warm days we deserved have finally arrived! ๐ค๏ธ
Although the temperature is slightly low compared to what we normally get in summer, the weather was perfect to do activities outside and get to enjoy some of the things Switzerland has to offer: crystal lake waters, breathtaking landscapes and tasty food. In the Boarding House, we went out to our garden and had some quality time with the kids, talking about their favourite topics and playing frisbee. Other kids went to Geneva or down to the lake in Versoix. The view to the mountains is simply outstanding and the kids feel absolutely lucky to witness it!
We do not know how long this weather will last for, but we will enjoy it as much as we can, as some rainy days will come. They often say “April showers, bring May Flowers” ๐บ
I tried to take a cool upside down picture but guess who were not in the mood…
Second attempt also failed ๐ญ
Look at this beeeeeeautiful picture! ๐ธ
Zhengtai, Sam and Martin went down to the lake together. Such a nice roommate bond! ๐๐ป

Flowers start to bloom and give colour to the school โจ
The Concha Garden is the ideal place to relax! ๐ง
The April Break is getting closer and the Concha Boys know it! However, before leaving, they wanted to take advantage of their last weekend of activities and leisure time in school and do what they like the most in the best company.
As every weekend, a wide range of activities was offered and the kids did not hesitate to choose what they do on a frequent basis or even try new activities they found interesting a long time ago but did not dare to try. After the activities, while some stayed in the Boarding House or Versoix doing grocery shopping or walking around the lake, others went to Geneva to buy clothes for the holidays and have nice food in their favourite restaurant. Once back in the house, they told us what they did and had a nice time together. โจ
Zhengtai is much getting into climbing!
Come on, Nathan!
Learning some boxing basics ๐ฅ
We can tell Sam needed a short break after giving his best!
Adrian was focused on his creation ๐จ๐ผโ๐ณ
It’s neither the first or second time Fanbo signs up for cooking. We have a potential cook here!
Gianni really enjoys the streets of Geneva ๐จ๐ญ
Last Wednesday it was an important day for the kids: they got the boarding picture taken! ๐ธ
Our Concha boys woke up earlier than usual for them to have enough time to get ready, put their suits on (yes, the key elements of the dress code were blazers) and have breakfast. They were lucky, as the picture was taken in our garden so they did not have to go far. They were arranged by height alongside other boarders and boarding staff by professional photographers. While they were waiting for everyone to be organised, they had time to chat, make jokes and spend some quality time together. Once everything was set, it was high time to get the picture taken, and after a long minute, it was over!
After this, they went back to the house to get changed quickly and go back to class. However, not everyone wanted to get changed as they preferred to go to school in their suits; it was a special day for them and they wanted their classmates to see how fancy they looked! Special mention to Firdavs here, Ms Manuella from Marketing told us he asked her for a couple of pictures…Someone loves the cameras! ๐คฉ
In a couple of weeks, we will receive the picture and check how good our kids look in it. We are looking forward to sharing it!
Getting ready…
Look at these two partners in crime wearing their suits for school! ๐๐ป
Mr Manu and Mr Vรญctor also got dressed to impress!
