Here we are at the end of the year… the last day of departures for the summer holidays has arrived. ☀️

Despite our sadness for not seeing the girls for some time, we are glad they will have this period to relax and spend time with their loved ones. 😍
We wish everyone a great summer, full of enjoyable moments to recharge batteries for the return to school!

We are looking forward to seeing you in August! 😊

Today everyone enjoyed a day of fun in Concha Garden. The event included different activities such as inflatable games, a foam party, and swimming in the pool. All the students had also the opportunity to enjoy ice cream and popcorn accompanied by refreshing drinks.

It was a memorable day filled with smiling students wet or full of foam who were happy to spend one of the last days of this academic year by having fun with their friends and House Parents.

Dear Ana Karina and Ana Cristina,

Last weekend you graduated from high school. A chapter of your life has come to an end and a new one begins (university, yay!). We have been lucky enough to witness the last year of this adventure and all we can say is that we are very proud of you both and we are going to miss you. You are amazing individuals, driven and passionate. You are ready for your new challenges, in which we are sure you will find new successes and new opportunities to learn and grow.

Thank you for leaving your mark on New Portena. Good luck on the next leg of your journey, we know that you will do amazing. ❤️

Yesterday, the Sports Award Ceremony was held to celebrate outstanding athletes, and we are incredibly proud that one of the honorees was Chihana. It was a fantastic moment to recognize Chihana’s enthusiasm, dedication, and motivation in representing her team.

At New Portena, the theme for this year’s photo competition was “Home at CDL.” Our entry captured a beloved tradition: every Wednesday, Ms. Fana makes us pancakes, a ritual that has become a cherished part of our New Portena family. This weekly event not only fills our stomachs but also warms our hearts, perfectly embodying our sense of home at CDL. 🥞❤️

Here’s to celebrating the little moments that make our boarding house truly special! 🌟

Since there was no school today, the girls had more time to engage in activities they enjoy:

🇵🇹 Lulu, Ashley and Vladi went to Porto for a school weekend trip and they visited Coimbra, Aveiro, Rio Douro and Gaia;

🐶🐕 Hanna pursued her passion for animals by meeting two other lovely dogs, Preyston and Wendy;

🎢 Meli, Yufei, Adela, Bice and Mei Mei went to Luna Park for a fun-filled day.

Our very own Yufei had a blast over the Ascension weekend, joining the school trip to Venice. 🛶

After the arrival at Venice airport, the students strolled through the city and had a tasty pizza dinner. The next day, they explored Doge’s Palace, enjoyed lunch at Hard Rock Cafe, and had free time to take in Venetian sights, including gondola rides. On the third day, the students also visited Murano Island to witness glassmaking, and explored Fenice Theater. They ended this final day with shopping and dinner.

An unforgettable adventure filled with culture, history, and fun! ✨

During these years Bice has become an important community member for everyone around her. As we have celebrated her birthday a few days ago, we wish to take a moment to reflect on all the memories we have shared together: since when she arrived at Collège du Léman until this year when she has joined the National Honor Society.
