This evening Olympus was revealed as the winners of the ‘Joy’ photo competition!

Below is a reminder of the photo; ‘Jumping for Joy’ taken by our very own Yilun Ma. The winning photo took 30 minutes to create, and 143 photos in order to get all 30 boys jumping at the same time! In addition we have included another fantastic photo from Yilun’s collection of our time in Crans Montana!

Ski Week – Crans Montana 13-20 February 2016

Olympus had a fantastic time in Crans Montana last week during the February half term. 14 students from the house chose to spend their holidays at the Hotel Du Parc (4*) in Montana! The week was a brilliant opportunity to make new friends, learn/improve ones skiing or snowboarding ability and take part in evening activities (ice skating, snow tubing and bowling). After skiing the students were given ample time to explore the resort and rest in preparation for the start of school this week. Below are photos of the group at snowtubing, two on the Crans Montana ski area and a time lapse of the view from the hotel (taken by our very own Yilun Ma)!

Celebrating talent in Olympus – Yilun Ma

Yilun is passionate about photography, so was the perfect choice to photo the whole house for the most recent house competition! The theme of the competition was ‘Joy’ so naturally we were drawn to the famous English saying ‘Jumping For Joy!’ Below is the photo we submitted for the competition and another example of Yilun’s work. The photo was taken in his home city of Beijing, at an abandoned factory.
