Yilun and Mathieu headed up to Saint-Cergue for the day, to go hiking with huskies. The boys headed up with Salvatore and met their local guide, and huskies deep in the Jura Mountain range. The boys were then given their dogs and fitted out with snow shoes, and a harness to control the dogs.
At CDL the boys are given the opportunity to take part in a range of weekend activities! Hiking with huskies is just one of many available this month.

2016 and the Olympus students are back in the swing of studies and weekend activities.
Sam, Oscar, Oleg and George headed up to the Saint-Cergue for the day on Saturday, for a spot of hiking with huskies! The team made their way up into the Jura mountain range and met their local guide. She showed them how to fit snow shoes and walk with the dogs. These dogs are born to pull! The team had a fantastic day, finished off by a hot chocolate in a local restaurant on the way back to College du Leman.
On Saturday 5 December 4 boys ran the Escalade 5km race in Geneva! The boys completed the run through the old town of Geneva passing the incredible Cathedral in the city centre. Well done boys!

Last weekend we had the Christmas Ball at the Kempinski Hotel in Geneve! We had to dress up smart and had a sit down meal in the Hotel. The food was fantastic and we all had a good time! Below are a few photos from the night.
In the recent Boarding House Awards Olympus won 8 Medals; winning the second highest amount of medals for a Boarding House and the most amount of medals for a single student. Special mention to Yilun Ma who received the highest grade in Grade 10 (boarding), achieving 4.25/4! An incredible effort.

Today, Olympus created two Shoeboxes for the SOA appeal with the school! The two boxes, at a cost of 80CHF between all students in the house, were jam packed full of goodies! Each box contained pencils, pens, notebooks, teddy bears, tennis balls, cards, toiletries, biscuits and dice. All destined for children in CDLS’s partner school in South Africa.
Oscar Gomez – ‘This process was extremely satisfying and allowed us to work collectively as a house for a good cause! The shoeboxes are destined for children a lot less fortunate than us, and allowed us to work as a team to support the SOA project!’
