A Night of Poutine!

Dear All,

Tonight we enjoyed another wonderful International Dinner—this time celebrating the flavors of Canada! The meal was an absolute hit, highlighted by crispy French fries piled high with rich poutine gravy, warm cheese, and tender, melt-in-your-mouth pulled beef. Alongside this Canadian classic, we served perfectly roasted carrots and beets, plus a hearty Cobb salad loaded with avocado, tomatoes, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, and chicken.

And for dessert? Nothing more fitting than fluffy pancakes! They came with an irresistible selection of toppings, from whipped cream to strawberry, chocolate, and toffee syrups. It was such a treat that many of us couldn’t resist going back for seconds—or even thirds.

Stay tuned for our next International Dinner adventure!

A Very Special Dinner at Home!

Dear All,

This evening,  St. Loup 4 and St. Loup 9 joined forces to share a truly memorable dinner together in the cozy dining space of St. Loup 4.

We wanted to make the most of the unique warmth that dinners at home provide—so we took it a step further and decided we’d all pull up a chair and celebrate community all together. The result was a lively, laughter–filled gathering centered around a delicious Indonesian-inspired feast. On the menu was fragrant Nasi Goreng—Indonesia’s beloved fried rice—served with tender chicken, perfectly fried eggs, and a side of creamy coleslaw. To finish, we enjoyed a refreshing mango-coconut shortbread dessert that felt like the perfect sweet finale.

As wonderful as the meal was, the true highlight of the night was the sense of togetherness it created. Sharing a table as neighbors, friends, and fellow boarders reminded us just how special our community truly is.

While this was our first dinner at home as two houses joined together, it certainly won’t be our last!

Lots of love,

The St. Loup Team

The Annual Gingerbread House Competition🎅✨

This weekend our students took part in the annual gingerbread house decorating competition. They approached the project with impressive precision – planning exactly what they wanted to decorate where and coordinating colours and details in advance 🎨⛄️

During the build, their steady hands paid off. With their talents, Amaliya, Mimi & Ximena created a design that felt both Swiss and festive, complete with small decorative birds and a colourful, snow-covered roof ❄️🏠

The girls submitted the finished house today alongside entries from all the other boarding houses, and now we’re waiting for the results. They did the most fantastic job and we are so proud of them. Well done girls! 🎉💖✨

A Taste of Finland at Saint Loup!

Dear all,

Tonight, our boarding community enjoyed a truly special experience: a Finnish-themed dinner! From start to finish, the evening was filled with authentic flavors that transported us straight to the heart of Finland. Students were delighted by the traditional dishes, and the highlight of the night? The epic battle for the cinnamon rolls during dessert! It was a sweet showdown that everyone will remember.

This dinner wasn’t just about great food—it was about discovering a new culture. Here are a couple of fun facts about Finland to wrap up the evening:

  • Land of a Thousand Lakes: Finland is home to over 187,000 lakes, making it one of the most water-rich countries in the world.
  • Northern Lights Magic: In Finnish Lapland, you can witness the breathtaking Aurora Borealis for up to 200 nights a year!

What an amazing way to combine good food, fun, and learning. A big thank you to everyone who made this cultural experience possible. We can’t wait for the next themed dinner!

A magical time in Disney✨

This weekend, some of our students went on the trip to Disneyland Paris! The trip was filled with festive magic from the moment they arrived. With Christmas lights and seasonal decorations throughout the park, it truly is a wonderful place to visit at this time of year ✨❄️🎅

Many students purchased the traditional Mickey Mouse ears  and took the famous photo in front of the picturesque Disney castle 🏰📸

Throughout the weekend, they explored a variety of rides and enjoyed the parades, soaking up the joyful atmosphere created by all the characters💫🎢🐭

With over 50 students in attendance, it was also a great opportunity to socialise and meet new friends. By the end of the weekend, everyone returned home happy, excited, and with memories to last a lifetime ❤️✨
