Hot Dog Night!

Dear all,

Today at Saint-Loup we  enjoyed the monthly “dinner at home” tradition with a great and fun menu. We could build and enjoy our own hot dogs with a wide range of ingredients, and we had mac and cheese to accompany it! The highlight was the classic éclairs au chocolat… at the end.

A Weekend of Sun and Snow at Saint Loup 🌦️

Dear all,

This weekend at Saint Loup was pretty relaxed, mainly because many of our students were away in Verbier hitting the ski slopes 🏔️ — Verbier is one of Switzerland’s best-known ski resorts, famous for its extensive area and alpine scenery.

For those of us who stayed behind, we still had a lovely couple of days enjoying some nice weather between showers. The rain didn’t stop us — we made the most of the time together and had some good moments!

We took part in climbing sessions, tried our luck at bowling, enjoyed walks in the light rain, and also spent time wrapping all the gifts we bought with the funds we raised at school for those in need. It was a great way to bring everyone together and have fun while doing something meaningful.

A calm weekend with good company — the perfect way to recharge!

International Dinner – Singapore

Dear All,

Tonight, we had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious Singaporean-inspired dinner. Our talented chefs crafted an incredible menu featuring options for everyone, including meat, seafood, and tofu. Guests could choose chicken, shrimp, or tofu satay served over a generous bed of noodles or rice. The meal was complemented by a flavorful broccoli stir-fry and roasted peppers that added just the right amount of heat.

To finish the evening on a sweet note, we indulged in a refreshing coconut pineapple cake topped with vanilla crème.

Fun fact about Singapore: more than 40% of its city is covered in trees, making it one of the greenest cities in the world!

Stay tuned for next week’s international dinner—Morocco!

Lots of love,

Welcome Back Assembly!

Dear All,

Tonight, we had the pleasure of attending our very first boarding assembly of 2026! This assembly was particularly special, as it gave us the opportunity to warmly welcome our newest students into our vibrant boarding community.

The evening began on a high note with a beautiful acoustic performance of Passionfruit, sung by Tanya from Villa du Lac. Her performance set a calm and uplifting tone as we then greeted our new boarders with enthusiastic applause and cheers, showing just how excited we are to have them join us.

We then heard from the Villa du Lac and Portena House Parents, who delivered an engaging and heartfelt presentation on the power of hugs and the important role connection and care play in our everyday lives. Their interactive talk reminded us of the strength of kindness and community within boarding.

To conclude the assembly, Mr. Mike, our Boarding Activity Coordinator, shared an exciting overview of the fantastic trips planned for second semester, and new regular weekend activities on offer such as Woodworking Club. With such a wide variety of experiences on offer, there truly is something for everyone. Below, you will find a link outlining the trips available in the first half of 2026–make sure you register as soon as possible to secure your spot!

The first weekend back ✨

This weekend was the first back for the boarding community, and it was filled with energy, teamwork, and wonderful friendships as our boarders reunited. The students enjoyed a wide range of activities: some challenged themselves on the climbing wall, others found balance through pilates, and many gave back to the local community by picking up litter 🧗‍♀️🧘‍♀️🌍

One of the highlights was the Escape Room experience, where the girls worked brilliantly together, communicating clearly and supporting one another to escape in under 60 minutes 🧩⏱️🤝

The weekend also included a ski trip to Crans-Montana, where students enjoyed fresh mountain air, perfect snow conditions, and a fantastic day on the slopes🎿🏔️❄️

This evening, some of our students came together to watch the AFCON final – a game full of ups and downs! Meanwhile, Delara, our sewing superstar, showcased her independence by using her skills to repair her jeans ⚽👖✨

British Evening at CDL

Dear all,

Tonight we enjoyed a British-themed dinner that brought everyone together for good food and good conversations. It was the perfect opportunity to reconnect after the break, catch up, and share some time as a boarding community.

On the menu, we had classic British favorites: roast beef with tartar sauce, tomato beans, chicken pie, and a delicious vegetarian Wellington. To finish, we had a slice of carrot cake, which was the perfect sweet ending to the evening.

British cuisine may seem simple at first glance, but it has a long history influenced by many cultures and regions—from hearty Sunday roasts to pies and puddings. Fun fact: the UK is famous for its love of tea, with an estimated 100 million cups consumed every day!

Warm vibes, shared stories, and a relaxed atmosphere made the night feel like a proper reunion. 🇬🇧☕✨

New Neighbours: Louis Degallier 55!

Dear all,

We are excited to welcome a new Boarding House, Louis Degallier 55, right next door to us! Yesterday, we had the chance to visit their students, and what a great way to connect—watching the Spanish Super Cup football final together.

It was amazing to see how quickly friendships formed and to share such a fun evening full of football, laughter, and great atmosphere. We had an incredible time, and this is just the beginning of what we hope will be many shared moments together.

Welcome to the neighbourhood, Louis Degallier 55!
