Dear All,

Tonight, we had the pleasure of attending our very first boarding assembly of 2026! This assembly was particularly special, as it gave us the opportunity to warmly welcome our newest students into our vibrant boarding community.

The evening began on a high note with a beautiful acoustic performance of Passionfruit, sung by Tanya from Villa du Lac. Her performance set a calm and uplifting tone as we then greeted our new boarders with enthusiastic applause and cheers, showing just how excited we are to have them join us.

We then heard from the Villa du Lac and Portena House Parents, who delivered an engaging and heartfelt presentation on the power of hugs and the important role connection and care play in our everyday lives. Their interactive talk reminded us of the strength of kindness and community within boarding.

To conclude the assembly, Mr. Mike, our Boarding Activity Coordinator, shared an exciting overview of the fantastic trips planned for second semester, and new regular weekend activities on offer such as Woodworking Club. With such a wide variety of experiences on offer, there truly is something for everyone.
