Celebrating l’Escalade de Genève at Saint-Loup! 🎉⚔️

To honour the rich Genevan tradition of l’Escalade de Genève, both Saint-Loup villas joined in the festivities by breaking the symbolic marmite (cauldron). Filled with candies and marzipan fruits and vegetables, the marmite represents the hot pots used by the people of Geneva in 1602 to repel the Savoyard invaders.

Following tradition, the youngest and oldest members of each house broke the marmite together, proudly proclaiming: “Ainsi périssent les ennemis de la République!” 🇨🇭

This joyful celebration was a meaningful way for our students to connect with local history and culture while indulging in some delicious treats.

A Busy and Active Weekend at Saint-Loup Villas! 🎾⚽⛳🌿

This weekend was packed with activities for the boys and girls from the Saint-Loup villas! Although the weather wasn’t exactly what you’d expect for the end of summer, they didn’t let that stop them from staying active and enjoying a variety of activities.

Micha had an especially busy weekend, taking part in both tennis—alongside his friend and mate Lyam—and trying out golf for the very first time. Chady also kept up with his weekly football match, playing a crucial role as a midfielder for the Versoix team. His stellar performance helped secure a victory, and he contributed two assists!

The girls were just as active! Sofiya embraced something new by joining the brand-new Gardening Club, enjoying a unique and educational activity. Meanwhile, Gigi and Anastasia attended a relaxing Pilates lesson, where they were able to unwind, improve their flexibility, and take care of their well-being.

A big group of our students focused on improving their tennis skills. Chady, Ana Roberta, Lyam, and Alex have been putting in the hard work, and it’s clear that they’re becoming outstanding players!

Meanwhile, Oleksii continued his tradition from last year by attending the weekly Chess Club. With his sharp mind and strategic thinking, he successfully outsmarted his opponents on the board.
