Another Great Weekend in Boarding!
Taking Care of Ourselves to Grow
In today’s House Meeting, besides discussing important matters about the house, we talked about Pillar 3: Self-Care. But what does self-care really mean for our students?
Beyond face masks and rest days (which are great too!), self-care is everything we do to feel good inside and out. For students, this can mean many things: staying organised to avoid stress, getting enough sleep, taking breaks from screens, eating well, or even knowing when to ask for help if something is worrying them. During this stage of life, full of changes and responsibilities, learning to take care of themselves is key to performing better, feeling more confident, and enjoying daily life.
To make it more fun, we tested our knowledge with a Kahoot! (yes, that mobile quiz game that always brings out everyone’s competitive side). Between laughter and quick answers, we learned that self-care isn’t a luxury but an essential tool for academic and personal success.
We keep growing together! 💙

Boarder of the week ⭐️
This week’s boarder of the week is…. MELINA
Melina fearlessly put her ski skills to the test as she competed in the house ski race in Verbier last Sunday. She was speedy, skilful and stylish as she raced down the slopes. ⛷️ ❄️ 🤍
A big well done Melina. Keep up the great work!!
Weekend activities!!!
This weekend, our students enjoyed a variety of activities. From a fun cooking class, where they showcased their culinary skills, to exciting badminton and tennis matches filled with energy and teamwork.
Some chose horse riding, connecting with nature, while others found relaxation in a yoga session. Additionally, a group had the chance to spend Sunday in the snow, enjoying an exciting day of skiing.
A weekend full of movement and unforgettable moments. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Happy Lunar New Year
Happy Luna New Year!🐲🐉
Lunar New Year is a celebration of the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year on the lunisolar calendar.
A number of the girls in Villa du Lac celebrate the Luna new year and we asked them to share with us some of their traditions and insights.
One such tradition is to make dumplings, by wishing for a prosperous and lucky year. They explained how each New Year is linked to one of the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac and 2025 is the Year of the sixth animal in the zodiac cycle: the Snake, which symbolises wisdom, elegance and intuition.
