The boys did spend the weekend wisely, despite the weather. Tennis, Climbing and Horse Riding were the choices.
Some snaps below.
Yesterday evening, Kristian and Adam went to Servette Stadium to watch the match against Zug. Both teams play in the Swiss National Hockey League. With a tied score until the last minute, the victory went to the away team (2-3), lifting Zug in the general qualification. Although our boys had so much fun, and Kristian was thrilled with the atmosphere.
They will definitely come back to the stadium!!
To conclude this pillar before the holiday break, we conducted a session associated with the challenge we presented to our students. We have compiled reflections on the poster below.
Our team of student advocates for this pillar has created a final video discussing the importance of sports and physical exercise in our daily well-being that we also visualised during the meeting. Well done to them and to Miss Perrine for conducting. We will have a final word and wrap-up session next Wednesday in our assembly.
We conducted our second meeting today, focusing on the topic of sleep.
Our second key takeaway is: “What tools can I utilise to enhance the quality of my sleep?”
During the meeting, the boys had the opportunity to watch a recording featuring our student advocates and some special guests, including Mr Usher, who shared valuable tips on how to achieve restful sleep:
1. Avoid heavy meals before bedtime.
2. Incorporate stretching exercises before going to bed.
3. Turn off screens at least 30 minutes before bedtime and adjust screen brightness to night mode.
4. Engage in reading a book.
5. Practice meditation techniques.
6. Consider drinking warm milk.
As a challenge, each boy has selected one or two of these recommendations to implement and will record their progress in their planners. We are eager to see if these changes positively impact the quality of their sleep. Stay tuned for the results, which will be presented in our monthly assembly next week.
Thank you for your attention and involvement!
