Dear Parents,

I trust that you are well and are enjoying a good week.

This weekend, the Concha students will embark of their second Mountain Weekend in Crans Montana. We will leave on Friday afternoon and return on Sunday afternoon to the Boarding House. The students were very well behaved on the last trip, and enjoyed themselves. We will be staying in the same chalet, which is excellent, as the students will know their way around the area and they will be aware of the timings and the routine. The activities on offer this weekend includes Skiing, Snowboarding, RealFly, Snowtubing, Curling and Studying. Erik and I will be accompanying the Concha students whilst we are away, and we will be sure to take many photos and update the blog when we arrive back to CDL on Sunday. We will also have the experienced help of Mr Salva and Mr Rob in the chalet.

Pizza Party to Celebrate!

Said and Diego are settling in well!

Tonight Mr Salva and Mr Matt hosted an assembly on ‘Self-Esteem’. The focus was on student discussion and their understanding of the topic, self image, peer-pressure, examples in their lives, examples of influences at Collège du Léman, for example clothing, trends and hobbies. Mauricio and Seb were both very engaged and interacting with the group about their experiences.

Lots more photos to follow, however just a few of the weekend. It was great fun, the Concha boys were really well behaved and we loved La Moubra, which was where our Chalet was based and we our our breakfasts and dinners.

Great first half performance from the ConchAttack boys this evening. Despite the weather, they managed four goals in the first half, two from Masanobu and two from Seb, who also won the ‘Man of the Match’ award.

We had a nice sing song this morning at 07:20am to celebrate Diego and Anuar’s birthdays. We will have cake this evening during social hour. 🙂
