Loris – Basketball

This morning, Loris travelled to Lancy to play in his first league game of the season for Versoix U13. The team played very well in stages, but could not keep their standards as high towards the end of the game, allowing Lancy to take a lead.

Loris played very well, especially in the final quarter, and his housemates and staff watched on via the YouTube live stream!

Well done, Loris! We are proud of you! Win, lose, or draw!

Wellbeing Time – Online Safety – Written by Bernardo (Grade 8)

This Friday we started a debate about safety on the internet with a few questions in hand for starters. We asked what is the  attraction of having many followers? I explained that with a lot of likes and followers you feel more relevant. However, it is impossible to know what people really think about you through just liking a photo. Another other question we had was, what are some of the reasons why someone would create a fake account? Now this isn’t very proactive or good in any way because if you create a new account with no-one knowing who it is and then send a negative comment, insults or death threats to a person, you can dramatically change a persons day or even life.

In conclusion you should keep your account private in case of fake accounts that try to ruin your day and always know who is in your social media platform and only add people you know like for example family and friends.

What a busy weekend it has been for the Concha boys with all the activities they have participated in. Between they have enjoyed woodcrafting, cooking, badminton, table tennis, basketball, science club, football, chess, and tennis. What a brilliant effort from this active bunch. Here are some photos from some of the activities.
