This weekend our students in Leman have been enjoying a range of activities – Golf, Running, Accrobranche and Chess – as well as the beautiful but chilly weather!

Wellbeing Pillar 1 – Nurturing Healthy Bodies and Minds
We are now approaching the third week of delivering the first pillar of our wellbeing programme in our Boarding Houses – ‘Nurturing Healthy Bodies and Minds’.
Throughout this pillar we will be ensuring our students understand the importance of taking care of our bodies and our minds in our day to day lives. Furthermore, we will be highlighting sport participation, sleeping patterns, nutrition and relaxation methods, as sub topics. With the students, we will discuss and discover how all these could play a key role in maintaining a healthy balance.
This week we will be asking the students how a healthy balanced diet can help with sports performance, as well as academic performance, brain development and growth. We will show the videos below to the students.
Timur and Antoni are the student wellbeing advocates for our Boarding House and they will be presenting in our wellbeing session again this week. They will be sharing their experiences and answering a range of questions regarding the importance of good nutrition for sports and everyday life.
Here our some recent photos of some healthy dishes that we have served to our students in the Dining room. Please feel free to visit the Dining at CDL Blog Page following this link: https://blogs.cdl.ch/diningatcdl/

Mountain Weekend – Verbier and La Tzoumaz
This weekend all our boys got the opportunity to enjoy the Mountain fresh air of Verbier and La Tzoumaz. There were a big diversity of activities and fun games planned for everyone and they enjoyed the time away with their friends.
We captured a few moments of these activities so have a look at them in action:
Jeune Genevois
Jeune Genevois means a bank holiday, which equals to “day with no classes”, which equals to day trip to Lausanne since all shops and venues are closed in Geneva.
A big group of boarders took advantage of this to visit the city, enjoy the views, do some shopping and relax in this beautiful city on the north shore of the Lake.
Tomorrow we will be heading to the mountains… more news will follow 🙂
Wellbeing Pillar 1 – Nurturing Healthy Bodies and Minds
It is that time of year again when we launch the first pillar of our wellbeing programme in the Boarding Houses – ‘Nurturing Healthy Bodies and Minds’.
This week we will be asking the students how different sports or creative activities can help them with both their physical and mental health.
Timur and Antoni will be presenting in our wellbeing session this week to talk about the sports they do, why they participate in sport, how they feel afterwards, and the physical and mental benefits they experience after exercise.
Reading Roi
Roi wants to improve his English and he wants to do it quickly. Therefore, in the evening Roi always comes to us, before bed time and together we do some reading. We help Roi understanding what he is reading and he is making quick progress.
This evening, Roi brought a new book… Johnny English, the secret agent that became famous thanks to actor Rowan Atkinson.
If the book is as funny as the movie we are gonna have some good laughs 🙂

Welcome to Leman
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We would like to welcome each of you to the great start of the 2022-2023 Academic School Year in College du Leman !!
These last few days have been filled with a lot of joy and excitement from new and returning students. In a blink of an eye all students started to meet and socialize with each other with walks to the lake, visiting the Chocolate Factory Favarger, playing basket and football, exploring campus and within many other activities during the weekend. Have a look at some freshly baked pictures taken during these days:
A very warm welcome from the LEMAN FAMILY !!!

Samedi Du Partage!
Our Boarding students helped out in Samedi Du Partage Today.
Samedi Du Partage is a great initiative for the less fortunate who cannot get access to basic provisions. Our students explained to local shoppers the goal of this organisation. As you can see below our very own Leman 1 students, holding the iconic pink bag with Titeuf on it and loading all the goods into crates.
We are proud of our boys’ hard work and showing the true colours of our School by helping our community and others.
Wednesday Slice Of Life.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARIM!!
Shot In The Dark.
After a rainy day, the boys took advantage of the calmer evening weather and went out onto the astroturf to play some football.
As it’s Sunday, they also had to play and communicate fairly quietly, which was definitely a challenging experience.
Running Man!
Ablai once again got himself up this morning, even AFTER doing leg day the previous day, and went for a 4 km run with Mr. Joe and the rest of the Running Club crew.
Baking You Crazy!
We had quite a large group of boys in cooking today – in fact Leman 1 dominated the second time slot. As a result, the house was chock full of chocolate and lemon/vanilla cupcakes.
On Wednesdays, We Have International Dinners!
Staff vs Student Night!
Summer Resonance
This evening, CDL students of various ages gathered together to put on a series of musical performances and showcase the skills they have been developing this year – including three of our boys Gabriel, Amirhossein and Ilian.
International Day Success!
Today we celebrated our diverse community here at CDL with International Day!
As a result of world events, this is the first time in a few years that we have been able to hold this event, and the return was a resounding success.
By the time I managed to get to the Chinese and Japanese food stalls, organized in part by some of our Leman 1 students, they had been completely sold out!
