“Baking, Boxing, and Big Smiles: A Week of Fun and Giving”

This week has been full of heartwarming moments and some good laughs. Gia, who graduated last year, came back to speak with the grades 11 and 12 students about what college life is really like. She answered all their questions and shared some great advice. She also made time to visit the house and catch up with everyone, which was so nice.

Valentina and Emma also had some fun in the kitchen, baking a Brazilian chocolate cake. They invited friends over to share it and watched a movie, making for a relaxed and cozy evening.

This week we also kicked off our annual gift box appeal, where we raise funds to create boxes filled with essentials for children in need in Eastern Europe. The girls helped put together the boxes, which included things like paper, notebooks, pens, toys, toiletries, and sweets. With the support of the boarding community, we managed to raise enough money to pack 25 boxes. It’s always such a meaningful initiative, and it’s wonderful to see the girls come together to make a difference.

The November fitness challenge continued, and the girls gave it their all, even though it often ended in laughter! It’s been great to watch them push their limits and have fun at the same time.

Overall, it’s been a week filled with community, kindness, and fun. We’re proud of the girls for all their efforts and can’t wait to see what next week brings!

Lots of love,

Aida & Yewande
