A Fun and Active Weekend

This weekend was full of energy and smiles at the girls’ boarding house, as everyone took part in a variety of fun activities. Instead of all doing the same thing, the girls got to choose between bodyshaping, Pilates, and tennis—making it a weekend tailored to everyone’s interests.

Some of the girls kicked off their Sunday with a dynamic bodyshaping class. With upbeat music and high energy, they powered through a mix of strength and cardio exercises that left them feeling strong and accomplished. The supportive atmosphere made it easy to stay motivated, and even though the workout was tough, everyone left with a big smile.

Meanwhile, another group opted for a relaxing but challenging Pilates session. They focused on breathing, posture, and controlled movements that worked their core and improved flexibility. The peaceful environment gave them a chance to slow down, stretch, and reconnect with their bodies—perfect after a busy week.

Out on the tennis courts, the third group enjoyed some friendly matches. The games were full of laughter, teamwork, and a few competitive moments. It was a great way to stay active while having fun with friends.

By the end of the weekend, the boarding house was buzzing with stories and sore muscles—in the best way! Each girl found her own way to stay healthy and have fun.

A Weekend to Remember at Europa Park

This past weekend, Vale and her friends had an unforgettable adventure at Europa Park. The excitement kicked off as soon as they arrived at the park, which is massive, with countless rides, attractions, and themed areas to explore.

The group dove straight into the thrill of the roller coasters. Vale found herself screaming and laughing at the same time on the Silver Star, the park’s tallest coaster.

The adrenaline rush was unlike anything she’d ever felt! As they wandered through the park, the themed areas—each representing a different European country—kept them engaged. From the romantic streets of France to the sun-soaked vibes of Greece, it felt like a whirlwind tour of Europe in a single day.

However, the real magic happened in the moments shared with friends. There were spontaneous dance-offs, bursts of laughter, and those priceless memories when they’d look at each other and agree, “This is the best trip ever!”

For Vale and her friends, Europa Park lived up to its reputation as one of the best theme parks in Europe.

Mountain Weekend Adventure: Ropes, Sports & Lasting Memories

There’s something magical about getting away from campus and heading into the mountains — especially when you’re surrounded by friends, fresh air, and a whole lot of adventure. This past weekend, our embarked on our annual Mountain Weekend, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

Rope Course: Testing Limits, Building Trust

One of the highlights of the weekend was the high ropes course, where students had the chance to face their fears, step outside their comfort zones, and support each other through every step — and climb. Whether they were navigating swinging bridges high above the ground or zipping through the trees, students encouraged one another with cheers, laughter, and high-fives.

More than just an adrenaline rush, the rope course was a powerful reminder of the strength of teamwork and trust. Many students left the course not only feeling proud of their accomplishments, but also closer to classmates they hadn’t really connected with before.

Olympic Games

One of the most exciting moments of the weekend was the Olympic Games, a spirited competition that brought out the best in every team — but it was the girls’ team that stole the show.  When the final scores were announced and they were crowned champions, the cheers echoed through the mountains — a moment of pride and pure joy that wrapped up the weekend perfectly.

Coming Back Recharged

Mountain Weekend wasn’t just about physical activity — it was a chance to recharge, reconnect, and remind ourselves why community matters. Whether students returned with sore muscles, new friendships, or just a little more confidence, everyone came back with memories they’ll hold onto long after the semester picks up speed again.

Welcome to year 25/26 in LY7

Today marks a beautiful new beginning as we reopen the doors to our girls’ house. The rooms will be again filled with laughter, familiar voices echo through the halls, and the quiet corners are coming back to life with stories waiting to unfold. After weeks apart, it’s heartwarming to see friendships pick up where they left off and new faces being welcomed with open arms. This house isn’t just a building—it’s a place where memories are made, support is shared, and each girl finds a space to belong. We’re so glad to be back together.

A Fond Farewell to Our Graduating Girls 🎓💫

This week, our boarding house bids a heartfelt farewell to seven incredible young women as they graduate and step into the next chapter of their lives. These girls have not only grown into remarkable individuals during their time at our school, but they have also left a lasting mark on our boarding family — one full of laughter, kindness, resilience, and sisterhood.

As they pack their bags and take one last walk through the halls they’ve called home, we celebrate all they’ve accomplished — academically, personally, and as role models within our community.

We are especially proud to recognize four of them who have been awarded special prizes. These honors reflect not only their hard work but the values they’ve lived every day in our boarding house.

To our graduates: thank you for your light, your laughter, and the memories you leave behind. You will always have a home here, and we can’t wait to see where your journeys take you. 🌍💙

With love and pride,
Your Boarding House Family

A dinner to remember

To wrap up the year, as some girls are getting ready to leave, we had our last house dinner together — and this time, we decided to take over the kitchen and made a delicious dinner.

Everyone got involved, from prepping ingredients to setting the table. Some of us tried new recipes, while others stuck to their favorites and also shared some secret recipes — and somehow, it all came together into a pretty impressive spread. There was music playing, lots of laughs, some gossip and a great time to share our last moments all together.

Once everything was ready, we sat down to enjoy the meal as a house one last time. It was a fun, laid-back evening and a great way to spend time together, it has been a wonderful event.

Lots of love,

Spring weekend Vibes

Weekends at Louis Yung aren’t just about studying for the next exam or lounging around — they’re a perfect time for the girls to recharge, stay active, and have some serious fun after a long week of exams.

This weekend, a group of girls headed to the lake for an exciting wakeboarding session. For many, it was their first time on the water, but with encouragement and a few tumbles, they quickly got the hang of it. Laughter echoed across the lake as they challenged themselves to stand longer, ride faster, and even try out a few tricks.

Back on campus, another group focused on body shaping workouts and stretching— a mix of strength training, stretching, and core exercises aimed at building confidence and wellness. Led by a fitness coach, the session was both energizing and empowering. These workouts are about more than just physical fitness; they help the girls develop discipline, resilience, and a sense of accomplishment.

Whether it’s carving across the lake or powering through planks and squats, the girls are learning to push their limits and support each other — and that’s what makes weekends at boarding school truly special.

A Glimpse into the World of Active, Ambitious Girls

Life in a girls’ boarding house is anything but dull. Every day brings a mix of energy, focus, and camaraderie. From early morning workouts to late-night study sessions, these young women juggle academics, fitness, and friendships with impressive grace.

Ther was time during this weekend for everything, all of the girls quite focused on studying, but also time to play some tennis, do som stretching or bodyshapping.

As exam season approaches, the mood shifts. The library becomes the heartbeat of the boarding house. Students gather around tables, notes spread wide, highlighters in hand, supporting one another through the pressure of revision. Quiet determination fills the room, mixed with whispered encouragement and shared snacks.

Together, these girls are building more than just good grades—they’re building resilience, independence, and lifelong friendships.

An active weekend

This weekend, our girls made the most of their time off with different activities that not only challenged them physically but also helped them unwind and recharge for the upcoming week.

First up, Marina was all about body shaping. She dedicated her Saturday to a full-body workout session with a mix of strength training and cardio. She made it a point to challenge herself with some new exercises. It was a great way for her to release stress and feel empowered, and she’s excited to continue with her fitness journey.

Sofiia, on the other hand, found her active moment at the tennis courts. She relished the chance to improve her serve and footwork while enjoying some healthy competition. It’s not just about the sport for Sofiia; it’s also about the laughter and camaraderie that comes with it.

Lastly, Anna set out on a solo running adventure early Sunday morning. She loves the freedom running offers, and this weekend she pushed herself to complete a new personal best on her usual route. Running gives her a sense of clarity and peace, and she often uses this time to clear her mind or listen to her favorite podcasts. The fresh air and calm atmosphere made for the perfect way to start the day.

Whether it’s shaping up, hitting the tennis court, or running solo, each of the girls embraced their individual activities, making the most of the weekend to stay fit, have fun, and foster a sense of personal achievement.

Lots of Love,

Yewande & Aida
