Slopes, Skates, and Winter Escapes ⛷️⛸️ ❄️

This weekend, the senior boarders traded books for snow gear and headed off to Crans-Montana for an unforgettable ski weekend. It was the perfect escape to embrace winter and make memories together.

Emma, Etoile, Marcela, and Valentina spent the weekend flying down the ski slopes, soaking in the views and the thrill of the ride. There were plenty of laughs, a few tumbles, and that unbeatable feeling of conquering a tough run.

Meanwhile, Sofiia, Sofja, Anna, and Marina opted for a different kind of winter fun. They spent their time gliding gracefully (and sometimes not-so-gracefully!) across the ice rink. Their laughter and attempts at synchronized skating added an extra layer of joy to the weekend.

It was a weekend full of fresh air, good vibes, and moments we’ll all be talking about for a while. Winter really does bring the best kind of adventures!

An Enchanted Winter Evening 🎄⋆⁺₊❅.⋆𐙚❅*°⋆❆.ೃ࿔*:

The winter chill couldn’t hold a candle to the warmth and joy that filled the room during our annual Boarding Winter Ball. It was a night of laughter, connection, and celebration—a time to come together and savor the magic of our community as we wrapped up an unforgettable semester.

The evening kicked off with a feast that brought us all to the table—delicious food and lively conversation setting the perfect tone for the night. Everyone looked stunning, dressed in their finest, and the room was alive with smiles and laughter that felt like the true heart of the season.
Etoile and Anna stole the spotlight with their heartfelt speeches. They spoke beautifully about what makes our boarding community so special—the friendships, the shared memories, and the way we lift each other up. Their words touched us all, reminding us why this community feels like home.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for—Emma and Etoile took the DJ booth by storm. Their playlist was a hit, and it wasn’t long before the dance floor was packed. Everyone let loose, dancing and laughing together in a way that felt like pure joy. The music brought us closer, and the night felt like a celebration of everything we’ve shared this semester.

The Winter Ball was a night to let go, celebrate each other, and create memories that we’ll carry with us long after the music fades. Here’s to the love, resilience, and unity that make this place so special. And here’s to many more nights like this one!

Tis the Season for Laughter and Chocolate 🎁🎁🎁

The holiday spirit truly came alive in our boarding house during our in-house Christmas party! It was the perfect way for the girls to take a break from studying and share some festive cheer before heading off for the holidays.

One of the best moments of the night was our Secret Santa gift exchange. The excitement was palpable as everyone unwrapped their gifts, revealing just how much thought and care went into choosing each one. The room was filled with surprise and laughter.

We also had a blast with our “Most Likely to overpack for a weekend trip ” to “Most Likely to make a joke at the worst time” the awards were a hilarious and heartwarming way to celebrate everyone’s unique personalities. The laughter and cheering were contagious, reminding us of just how special our community is.

To top off the festivities, we celebrated the Escalade by breaking the traditional chocolate pot. Etoile and Marusya did the honours, enthusiastically smashing the pot—but not without hurting their hands in the process, which was hilariously memorable. With a resounding “Ainsi périssent les ennemis de la République!” we shared pieces of the delicious chocolate as a symbol of unity and tradition. It was a sweet ending to a joyful evening.

The treats were delicious and the whole night was brimming with warmth and joy. It’s moments like these that make our boarding house feel like a true home away from home.

Sleighing the Holiday Spirit Together 🎄

December has turned our boarding house into a cozy haven of holiday cheer. The kitchen buzzed with laughter as we baked cookies while mugs of hot chocolate warmed our hands. Singing and dancing to festive tunes, we trimmed the tree with twinkling lights and ornaments, turning our common room into a cozy wonderland. This was more than decorating—it was about celebrating the season as a family.

Sunday Funday 🤗

Sundays in Louis Yung 7 are always a mix of relaxation, connection, and fun—and today was no exception! The day started on a calming note, with Emma and Sofja attending a stretching session. They both agreed it was the perfect way to relieve stress and reset for the week ahead.

In the afternoon, we had a special visitor—Melissa, one of our beloved graduates from last year, popped by for a visit. She brought along her custom version of Monopoly which sparked lots of laughter.

Later in the evening, Vale and Marcela returned from an exciting weekend in Disneyland Paris, their faces still glowing with joy from the magical experience.
Here’s to starting the week refreshed and inspired!

“Baking, Boxing, and Big Smiles: A Week of Fun and Giving”

This week has been full of heartwarming moments and some good laughs. Gia, who graduated last year, came back to speak with the grades 11 and 12 students about what college life is really like. She answered all their questions and shared some great advice. She also made time to visit the house and catch up with everyone, which was so nice.

Valentina and Emma also had some fun in the kitchen, baking a Brazilian chocolate cake. They invited friends over to share it and watched a movie, making for a relaxed and cozy evening.

This week we also kicked off our annual gift box appeal, where we raise funds to create boxes filled with essentials for children in need in Eastern Europe. The girls helped put together the boxes, which included things like paper, notebooks, pens, toys, toiletries, and sweets. With the support of the boarding community, we managed to raise enough money to pack 25 boxes. It’s always such a meaningful initiative, and it’s wonderful to see the girls come together to make a difference.

The November fitness challenge continued, and the girls gave it their all, even though it often ended in laughter! It’s been great to watch them push their limits and have fun at the same time.

Overall, it’s been a week filled with community, kindness, and fun. We’re proud of the girls for all their efforts and can’t wait to see what next week brings!

Lots of love,

Aida & Yewande
