Marina’s Iceland Adventure: A Journey of Discovery and Fun

Marina, our curious and adventurous student, recently had the opportunity to join the school trip to Iceland, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. From the moment she set foot on this stunning island, Marina was captivated by its breathtaking landscapes.

Her trip included visits to some of Iceland’s most iconic spots – towering waterfalls, geothermal hot springs, and the ethereal black sand beaches. Marina couldn’t stop marveling at the beauty of the Golden Circle, where she saw the impressive waterfalls and the geothermal wonders of Geysir.

For Marina, the Iceland school trip was more than just a break from studies – it was a chance to bond with her classmates, learn about Iceland’s unique culture and nature, and create memories she’ll cherish forever. It was an adventure that sparked her love for travel and discovery.

A Heartfelt Valentine’s Day Celebration at the Boarding House:

This past Friday night, Louis Yung 7 was filled with an energy that was as warm as the oven baking our sweet treats—because we were celebrating Valentine’s day, not with romantic love, but with the kind of friendship and sisterhood that makes your heart feel full and your smile wide. If you’re looking for a unique way to celebrate love, it’s hard to beat the fun and meaningful experience of spending the evening with your closest friends, creating memories together. Here’s a peek into how we made this San Valentín a night to remember.

The evening began with the girls taking charge in the kitchen, preparing a delicious homemade dinner for everyone.

By the end of the night, our hearts were full.  Everyone enjoyed the evening, and it was a night to remember!

Let’s Taco ‘Bout Dinner 💃🌵🥑🌶 🌮

Dinner tonight was simple—tacos and good conversation. We sat around the table, passing toppings, assembling our plates, and just talking. About our day, about random things, about nothing in particular. No rush, no distractions—just food and people. A good way to end the day.

The Way We Treat Ourselves Affects Our Relationships

As we wrapped up our third Wellbeing Pillar, we took a deep dive into something so simple yet so important: the way we treat ourselves shapes the way we treat others.

For our monthly assembly, Marina helped present this message, and we shared a special interview-style video where Marusya sat down with the Louis Yung 7 girls and Ms. Aida. Their honest and thoughtful answers made the topic feel real and personal.

This final week tied everything together—after exploring self-awareness and self-care, we reflected on how all of it connects to the way we interact with the people in our lives. Watching the students nod along, smile, and even share their own thoughts afterward was a reminder that these conversations matter.

As we move forward, I hope this pillar stays with the students—not just as something we talked about in assembly, but as a mindset they carry into their friendships, family relationships, and even the way they see themselves.

Because at the end of the day, the relationship we have with ourselves is the foundation for every other relationship we build. 💙

Self care & Boundaries 🧘‍♀️☁️🎧🫧

This week, we dived into the importance of self-care and setting healthy boundaries as key foundations for positive relationships. Emma and Valentina’s Empty Cup demonstration brought our theme to life, showing that if we constantly give without replenishing ourselves, we eventually burn out.

To help students reflect on their own self-care habits, we shared practical tips on managing stress, prioritizing rest, and making time for activities that bring joy. We also explored the role of boundaries in maintaining healthy relationships through an interactive Kahoot, sparking great discussions on when to say no, how to communicate personal limits, and why respecting others’ boundaries is just as important.

Our key takeaway: You can’t pour from an empty cup—taking care of yourself helps you build better relationships. By making self-care a priority and setting clear boundaries, we create space for healthier, more fulfilling connections with ourselves and others.

Let’s keep filling our cups! 💙

A weekend full of good energy

Our weekends are always full of energy and excitement. Whether it’s school events, fun activities, or spontaneous adventures, there’s never a dull moment.

This weekend, CDL hosted a Basketball Tournament, and Vale didn’t want to miss the opportunity to help organize it and ensure it was a fun event. She was in charge of the music, and she has been very proactive in helping. Well done, Vale!

The girls also had the opportunity to join the first ski day, and Marce and Etoile had a super fun day in the snow, race included. Despite an early wake-up to get to the mountains, it was really worth it, and they came back with a smile.

Emma, Sofiia, Sonja, and Marina didn’t miss the opportunity to join our activities on campus, Tennis, Stretching and Bodyshapping. While others, like Marusya and Anna, have been more focused on studying. It’s been a great weekend, and we are ready for a new week full of energy.

This accomplishment is a reflection of their passion for learning and commitment to growth. We’re excited to see what the next semester holds for them. A big congratulations to all—keep shining bright!

Building Healthy Relationships Starts Within

This month, we’re focusing on our third Wellbeing Pillar: helping students understand that healthy relationships begin within. Before they can build strong, positive connections with others, they first need to develop a strong, positive relationship with themselves.

Through self-awareness, students learn to understand their emotions, values, and boundaries. Through self-acceptance, they learn to embrace who they are—flaws and all. These two qualities are the foundation for meaningful, authentic relationships with others.

To bring this pillar to life, we invite you to watch this short intro video created by Etoile and Marcela. It’s a wonderful way to understand how we’re guiding your child toward self-awareness and self-acceptance.

Today’s session ended with a fun and meaningful activity: the Self-Acceptance Ball Toss. The girls shared things they appreciate about themselves, reinforcing the importance of self-love and confidence in a lighthearted, engaging way.

The takeaway? Positive relationships start with self-awareness and self-acceptance. By nurturing these qualities, students can build connections that are rooted in respect, understanding, and authenticity.

Lots of Love,

Aida & Yewande
