On the 12th of November at 18pm will take place the 1st New Portena Girls/ Teachers Evening where we will have food, drinks and a tour of the house among other activities.

We are happy to announce a great initiative from part of our house: “An Evening with Our Teachers”. New Portena is the pioneer of the idea and why not the beginning of a closer relationship between students and teachers.

We will keep you posted and give you all the details as soon as possible but we wanted to thank everyone that is participating and encouraging us to make this event.

Our girls are really looking forward to it. 🙂

All the students (and us tutors a well of course) enjoyed the brazilian food Bruna and her friends served last thursday for dinner.

Congrats to all of them, it was excellent!!

Today our three cheerleading girls, Regina, Selena and Bruna, had to perform due to the construction of new campus buildings that the school is inaugurating this month. Here are some pictures of their performance in this event. Their tutors are very proud of their hard work! Great job girls!!

As the majority of us know already we just want to make it clear for the rest of us who is not concerned about the issue in the boarding house, many people have headlice and nits! They spread extremely easy , so to avoid an epidemic, there are a few simple things you should do:
•Check up your head in the infirmary
•Keep your hair tight in ponytails or buns
In case it turns out you are one of those who got lice, don’t worry! There is nothing to be ashamed of and they can be quite easily removed today comparing to how difficult it was in the past. There is a huge variety of medical shampoos and stuff, which can help.

After exploring the Red Cross Museum we enjoyed some delicious Italian cuisine at La Trattoria in Geneva.  It was an adorable restaurant and the walls were decorated with old bills from around the world!

On saturday 06 of october we all went to visit the Red Cross Museum in Geneva. It was an interesting experience!
