Heather and Azzaya raised lots of sponsorship money for being ‘locked-in’ at school last night. Around 60 students signed up to eat and play games in the same way they would in Zambia. Heather and Azzaya had a great time sleeping overnight in the Cervin Building and the money they raised will go towards the maintaining and running of an orphanage in Zambia, known as the ‘Serenje Orphans Childrens Home’ (SOCH).
All the boarding houses were given the same ingredients and the judges (Mr Usher and Madame Salamin) judged the results on taste, presentation and originality.

All the boarding houses made very impressive, tasty food! It was a great competition!
Tonight’s dinner was made by the Chef along with some of the students. The Old Portena Girls thought it was delicious! Thank you!
Today was the nicest Sunday! I really liked the swimming pool because it was refreshing! After the pool Mr Usher, our Director of Boarding made us a BBQ with lots of meat and chips-it was amazing! But tonight we have to revise for all our exams tomorrow and that is not very fun. By: (Katia Kalinina G7)
My day was Awesome because there was a lot of meat in the BBQ made by Mr Usher. I love meat! And I love summer too so it was a great day but now I have to study for my Science exam. 🙁 (By: Anna Sedykh G8)
During the Boat Party, Old Portena were awarded with a trophy for being the boarding house with the most viewed blog, with over 4,600 views since February 2013 from over 56 countries around the world!
