Many congratulations to both Taichi and Amirhossein for winning the Leman 2 Boarding Life Award for Marking Period 1 this evening.
This award was given to these two boys for embracing boarding life and their fantastic contribution to out Boarding House. Their spirit, attitude and principles toward the Boarding community are exactly what we like to see from our students and they set a fantastic example to the other students in the house.
Thank you boys, and well done.
This week’s instalment of the first annual Chess Tournament was hosted in the Leman 2 Boarding House this evening.
Congratulations to all involved in tonight’s semi final, especially Leman 2’s very own Rayaan and Aryavir.
Aryavir will be representing us in next weeks Grand Finale. Good luck to all.
Not many boarders decided to face the cold rain of December to participate in the Escalade Run, a traditional feature of the Geneva area which gathers thousands of people every year. Leman 2 is proud of John and Iman who did a great job and showed a fantastic sports spirit and had a great time despite the adversities of the weather. They represented well our CDL- Boarding Team with some other boys from our community so a big well done to all 🙂
Fresh, homemade pasta cooked from the scratch was this Saturday morning’s challenge to Rayaan… and judging from his face, he didn’t do too bad … Yummy 😀
Generosity is one of the key elements of what we try to pass on to our students and it’s amazing to see that values of this nature are part of their lives.
A huge well done and thank you goes to Johannes, Taichi, Kotaro, Alex, Amirhossein and Rayaan for having taken the time to buy a Christmas present to a child in a foster home here in Geneva area. It’s surely a small thing but it will probably mean a lot to a child. Doing something to others is definitely something magic 🙂
During last weeks session, the students were asked to carry out a number of good deeds throughout the week. The aim of this was to encourage the students to do genuinely nice things for people, out of the kindness of their heart, without expecting anything back in return. We started this weeks session by sharing everyone’s deeds that they carried out. It is was very pleasing to hear that the boys have done a lot of nice things for people this week, in many different ways :).
During our well-being session this week, we continued to speak about the second pillar of well-being – ‘protecting against bullying and respecting diversity’.
This week, we took a closer look at respect, and the ways it should be used throughout the school. There are lots of people throughout the school, from the cleaning department, to the kitchen staff to the teachers who do a lot for us. We talked about how we could give the respect they truly deserve, back to these people. This linked to the topic of appreciation and showing gratitude for the people who work very hard to do nice things for us. The boys suggested that we should always:
Sihan has been doing really well with his Basketball recently. Including a great performance whilst playing for the school team this afternoon.
This weekend, Edward and many other students visited the amazing city of Paris and all it’s world famous landmarks.
A big warm welcome to Aryavir who has joined us in Leman 2!! A wonderful addition to our family 🙂
