A Relaxing Saturday In Concha

After a long week filled with summatives and active participation in classes, it was time for some active rest. The boys as usual choose their favorite activities to relax their minds and have fun on this a bit colder but cozy Saturday.

“I will serve the first serve sir!”

Do not let the ball touch the ground!

It may appear that Emir mastered the art of floating above the court. We can neither confirm nor deny this observation.

Joe is never phased by wet weather. As soon as the rain ceased falling, he went for a healthy run!

Our Wellbeing, Our Priority. (Chapter 2.1: Protecting against Bullying and Respecting Diversity)

Our well-being programme is back, and we’ve embarked on our second journey to raise awareness among our boys from Concha and Annexe.

Today marked the commencement of our exploration into the theme of “Protecting against Bullying and Respecting Diversity.”

Our initial focus involves uncovering the common bonds that unite us, inspired by the RISE values of the school.

Guided by Mr. Iker and Miss Ana, our student advocates have presented a challenge to the boys—can they discover similarities with their roommates? They now have several days to craft a short clip sharing what similarities they find.

Stay tuned as we’ll be sharing the results next week!

A heartfelt thanks to our dedicated student advocates: Diego, Amanda Regina, Ana Lu, Giuliana, Adi, Lulu, and Kseniia. Your contributions are truly appreciated.

Some Madness & Badness: House Meetings and Intl. Dinner

Dear all,

Another action packed day here at CDL – even when all may seem quit and peaceful, rest assured that someone, somewhere is acting chaotic!

Today we had the second joint house meeting with Concha Annex, we celebrated the International Weekly Dinner – this week, some lovely, classic Belgian cusine – and despite it all, the lads still managed to clock in a few mad moments playing basketball!

The Concha Team,

The boys – thinking they’re real comedians – digging into some Belgian mussels!

The entire Concha family all in one place!

Lebron who? Introducing the new basketball monster trio!

Team work makes the dream work!

Hockey Match In Geneva

Yesterday evening, Kristian and Adam went to Servette Stadium to watch the match against Zug. Both teams play in the Swiss National Hockey League. With a tied score until the last minute, the victory went to the away team (2-3), lifting Zug in the general qualification. Although our boys had so much fun, and Kristian was thrilled with the atmosphere.

They will definitely come back to the stadium!!

Chocolate Factory Trip

On Sunday, the boys took a trip to the “Maison Cailler Museum” in Broc. During their visit, they learnt about how the Swiss chocolate was made, before being manufactured for sale around the world. At the end of the visit, they were greeted by a buffet of chocolate, where they were able to tasted the various typed of Cailler chocolate.

November Rain

The first weekend after the holidays have begun in Concha!
While we have a rainy week, the boys are having a relaxed time in the house and around campus. Chill and cozy vibes all around.

Soups, teas, warm and hot liquids to combat the cold!

The weather might be cold outside but in here it’s always cozy and warm. No need to ditch the sport shorts just yet! (also checking the weather periodically)

Chocolate-chip cookies are always welcome!

Here you are, take a bite!

Wednesday Assembly & Joint-House Meeting

Dear all,

Today we had our monthly Boarding Assembly and the boys kitted out in professional fashion to mark the occasion.

As well, Concha was joined by their Annex neighbours today, for a joint-house meeting, which resulted in only a little bit of chaos – but nothing like a bit of chaos to make things interesting!
