A Weekend of Balance: Adventure, Sunshine, and Study at Louis Degallier 60

This weekend was a perfect blend of fun, relaxation, and productivity for the 60 boarders of Louis Degallier 60. The students kicked off their time with exciting Indoor Climbing sessions, testing their strength, focus, and team spirit on the walls. Back at the house, they enjoyed a range of games and activities that brought everyone together, filling the common spaces with laughter and good vibes. The sunny weather provided the ideal opportunity for trips to Geneva and the lake, where boarders soaked up the sun, explored the city, and made the most of the beautiful surroundings.

Despite all the fun, the boarders also maintained a strong sense of balance, dedicating time to homework and studies in preparation for the final week before the break. Study sessions were productive and focused, using the calm environment to stay on track academically. It was a well-rounded weekend that reflected the community spirit of the house—blending adventure, connection, and commitment to academic goals.

Sally, working on her Portfolio !

Each year, our students are required to complete 30 credit hours as part of the Reach Hour Program. These hours are divided into three key blocks: 1- Community Service , 2-Responsibility & Citizenship and 3 -Health and Well-being.
Today, Sally has been contributing by cleaning the kitchen and organizing the dishwasher. Her efforts are a great example of how students can earn credits through meaningful service and responsibility.

🌿 Prioritizing Student Well-Being: Healthy Habits Matter 💪🥗

At our Boarding School, we care deeply about the well-being of our students. Encouraging regular physical activity and healthy eating habits is a key part of our mission to support their overall health—both physical and mental.

We are proud to recognize Heloisa, who exemplifies this commitment. As part of our Pastoral Care program, she has maintained a consistent Sunday exercise routine and is an active member of the Stretching Club. Her dedication is an inspiring reminder that small, steady habits can lead to meaningful change.

“We are what we eat, and our bodies remember the habits we instill in them.”
That’s why we strive to empower our students to make conscious choices—nurturing both healthy bodies and healthy minds.

🥞 Sunday Brunch: Simply Delectable! 🥐✨

Every Sunday, our brunch brings together comfort and indulgence in the best way. From fluffy pancakes and warm croissants to savory delights and fresh fruit, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

This year, we’ve added something new: the Yogurt Bar, a tasty innovation promoted by our Dining Hall Committee. Students can choose from three different types of yogurt and customize their bowls with a colorful assortment of fresh fruits, dried fruits, and seeds—a refreshing and healthy addition to their brunch experience.

Our students gather with friends, relax, and enjoy the flavors—because Sundays are meant to be delicious! 🍓🍳
