During tonight’s house assembly, and as part of our Wellbeing Program, we launched Pillar 5, which focuses on “Making Safe and Responsible Decisions.” This topic is especially important as students grow and prepare for the transition to university, where they will begin to assume the responsibilities of adult life. Teenagers face a multitude of influences, both online and offline, that can present significant temptations. It is essential that they develop strong, healthy morals and principles to effectively navigate these challenges.
In the coming weeks, we will explore two key takeaways from Pillar 5:
1-The difficult art of seeing the world through the eyes of others.
2-Respect as the key to resolving conflicts and building meaningful connections.
We also screened a video created by the lead tutor for this pillar, Mr. Manu, which included his personal reflections on the work completed, along with insights and feedback from his colleagues.
