Well-being Pillar 5, Making Safe and Responsible Choices.Week 2

During this week’s house meeting, we focused on empathy—what it means, the challenges it presents, and why it matters. The Advocates Team guided us through a video that explores the concept of empathy and highlights key insights. Click HERE  to watch the video.

The main objective is to help students develop a deeper understanding of how empathy is formed and why it plays a crucial role in making safe and responsible choices.

May Boarding Assembly

Tonight, we held our penultimate Boarding Assembly, led by Mr. Usher, our Boarding Director.
As always, a variety of important topics were covered to keep our students informed and prepared.

We were especially proud to celebrate one of our legendary students, Taissia, who marked the end of her remarkable six-year journey at Collège du Léman with an inspiring presentation about her home country, Russia.

Thank you, Taissia, for allowing us to witness your growth into a confident, poised young woman, now ready to embark on your next adventure at university. We hope you carry with you the cherished memories of your time here.

With heartfelt wishes,

Your Swiss boarding family

Sunset, Laughter, and Lasagna: An Italian Evening at Louis Degallier

This evening, the boarders of Louis Degallier House came together for a memorable Italian dinner under the warm glow of the setting sun. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, conversation, and the unmistakable aroma of baked lasagna, the highlight of the evening’s menu. The meal  offered not just delicious food but also a chance to unwind and connect. It was a perfect blend of good company, great cuisine, and golden evening light—an experience that truly captured the spirit of shared living.

Balance and Focus: A Restorative Weekend at Louis Degallier

The boarders of Louis Degallier enjoyed a relaxing yet invigorating weekend that struck the perfect balance between activity and rest. With exams on the horizon, students took full advantage of the chance to recharge both body and mind. Some of our boarders participated in Climbing or Fitness sessions, which not only provided a welcome physical challenge but also helped clear their heads and reduce stress. The positive energy and camaraderie during these activities set a motivating tone for the days ahead.

Alongside the physical pursuits, there was plenty of time for focused study and quiet reflection. Boarders used the calm atmosphere to prepare for their upcoming exams. Evenings were peaceful, offering moments of relaxation and social connection. As the new week begins, the Louis Degallier community feels refreshed, grounded, and ready to take on the academic challenges to come.
