Celebrating CDL Day , Celebrate Differences !

To celebrate our school’s core values and support important causes, we held a variety of events on campus today!

One of the highlights was the annual Grand Prix running race around the school campus. The atmosphere was buzzing, and we are incredibly proud of everyone who took part—students, teachers, principals, and more. Well done, everyone! 🎉 Please , enjoy our video !!

Pillar 4: Healthy Bodies and Minds

During our well-being session—and following our previous discussions on nutrition and physical activity in the first two weeks—we explored the importance of mindfulness and its benefits.

The two key takeaway points for this week were: a) Understanding mindfulness and its benefits and b) Learning simple techniques to incorporate mindfulness into daily life.

We also watched a video created for the advocates of this pillar about the importance of mindfulness.

LDG60 Boarders Shine with a Soulful and Fun Performance of Careless Whisper

The boarders of LDG60 delivered a show-stopping performance at the 2025 Boarding Talent Show, captivating the audience with their soulful rendition of Careless Whisper by George Michael. With a perfect blend of expressive stage presence, and infectious enthusiasm, they transformed the classic ballad into a mesmerising spectacle. Their playful energy and undeniable chemistry made for an unforgettable highlight of the evening. Well done boys!

RISE Week & Spirit Week Celebration at Collège du Léman

RISE stands for Respect, Internationalism, Spirit, and Excellence – the core values of Collège du Léman. With a diverse school community representing over 110 nationalities and cultures, these values are at the heart of everything we do. Respecting and celebrating diversity is a defining feature of our school.

This week, alongside CDL Day (taking place on Thursday, March 27th), we are celebrating Spirit Week! The student government has organized a special activity for each day:
 Monday – RESPECT: Send a note of respect to someone.
 Tuesday – INTERNATIONALISM: Wear your country’s colors.
 Wednesday – SPIRIT: Twin Day – match outfits with a friend!
 Thursday – EXCELLENCE: Wear anything CDL-related.
 Friday – LEAVE YOUR MARK: Trace your hand on the poster and write your name inside.

During our wellbeing session, we talked about the importance of staying active and moving.
There are many benefits of physical activity, such as:
1-It improves mood and reduces stress.
2-It helps increase energy levels and concentration.
3-It strengthens the immune system.
4-It improves overall physical health.
5-It promotes better sleep.

There’s no doubt that incorporating physical activity into our daily routine has long-lasting benefits, helping us feel great, both physically and mentally. Staying active isn’t just an option; it’s necessary for a healthy lifestyle! 🌟💪

One of the most popular weekend activities in our boarding community is cooking! .Chef Olivier delights us with his culinary expertise, sharing delicious recipes and helpful cooking tips. Heloisa especially enjoys attending these classes, learning little cooking secrets along the way. It’s also a wonderful way to relax and unwind after a busy week of classes and extracurricular activities.

A Fun and Productive Weekend for the Boarders of Louis Degallier 60

This weekend was a perfect balance of relaxation, fun, and productivity for the boarders of Louis Degallier 60. With bright sunshine and pleasant weather, students took full advantage of outdoor activities, including an exciting climbing session that tested their strength and determination. Others preferred to stay closer to home, engaging in house games that brought laughter and friendly competition to the common areas. The warm atmosphere and shared moments helped everyone unwind, reinforcing the strong sense of community among the boarders.

Amidst the fun, students also dedicated time to their studies, ensuring they were well-prepared for the week ahead. Many took the opportunity to catch up on assignments, revise for upcoming assessments, and support one another in their academic work. This blend of recreation and responsibility made for an excellent weekend, leaving students refreshed and ready to take on new challenges.
