Ready, Set, Concha! Sprint into Sunday with Our 5K House Run

Our daily boarding-wide fitness challenge for May culminated in the Concha 5K.

All ages came together under the sun to do their best!

Andrew and Donny raced around Concha garden 10 times!

Shiryu and I paced ourselves well pushing each other to the finish line.

It was a photo finish at the 5km mark, nothing could separate these two!

Filippo made sure not to lose track counting each gruelling lap methodically.

Sun’s Out Means The Funs Out!

Hey all! It has been a fun and exciting weekend here at CDL. The boys here at Concha made the most of it all while the sun was shining and took part in all the activities they could that were on offer. Never let it be said that these young gentlemen don’t do anything – given the opportunity, it can be a challenge to get them to sit still for five minutes.

As we head toward the end of the year, there are no signs of the action stopping any time soon – please see the photos below for a glimpse into what they all got up to!

You Had Me At Lasagna

In the cozy glow of our Concha boarding house, a group of friends gathered around a large, steaming lasagna. Laughter filled the air as they shared stories, each cheesy bite bringing them closer together. The homemade lasagna, layered with love and laughter, became a symbol of their bond. Amidst exams and assignments, this simple meal was a comforting reminder of friendship and the joy of shared moments. In that warm living room they found a slice of happiness.

Firdavs’ 14th a Day to Remember

We were so delighted to celebrate our very own Firdavs.

We also enjoyed homemade pizza and a pie courtesy of Manu.

Exploring, Relaxing and Having Fun: A Recap of Our Long Weekend at Concha and Concha Annexe!

The weekend kicked off with excitement as some of our boys embarked on an unforgettable journey to Venice, Italy. Meanwhile, those who stayed behind enjoyed their own slice of paradise in Annecy, France.

Back at home, the boys enjoyed a delightful variety of activities, from delicious barbecues by the serene lake to adrenaline-pumping sports like tennis and boxing, there was never a dull moment. And for those who preferred a slower pace, chess and leisurely hikes provided the perfect opportunity to connect with nature and rejuvenate the spirit.

The Floating City

This long weekend, Nick embarked on an unforgettable trip to Venice.

He indulged in delicious cuisine, immersed himself in the rich history of Murano glass, and navigated the intricate water channels, creating memories to cherish forever.

Our wellbeing, our priority (Chapter 5.1: Making Safe and Responsible Choices)

Last Tuesday marked the continuation of our esteemed wellbeing programme as we delved into the final pillar, Pillar 5, “Making Safe and Responsible Choices”.

This particular segment holds special significance as all the materials have been enriched by the contributions of Filippo and Adam. Under the guidance of Mr. Manuel, who has meticulously and enthusiastically prepared everything to ensure it is both meaningful and engaging, this pillar promises to be enlightening.

Throughout the meeting, we explored the concept of peer pressure, examining how it can influence our decisions. The boys were captivated by the visuals created by the advocates and eagerly shared their questions and insights about peer pressure.
