During our house meeting, we proposed to the boys to define Respect in three words. It might seem easy, right? However, it’s a challenging task as respect is a very broad concept. The crucial twist we added was that the boys couldn’t use the term “respect” in their definitions. This activity encourages them to delve deeper into the concept, expressing their understanding in a concise and creative manner. It serves as a great way to foster critical thinking and articulate personal perspectives on such a fundamental value. How did the boys respond to the task? Answer below:
Over the weekend, the boarding team here at CDL got the opportunity to visit Europa Park, some lucky lads from Concha simply had to go along to check it out.
From the pulse-pounding loops of Blue Fire to the gravity-defying twists of the Silver Star, all the way to the enchanting ambiance of Europa-Park’s 15 meticulously crafted European-themed areas, every moment is a passport to exhilaration.
Europa Park isn’t just a theme park; it’s a continent condensed into an amusement haven, where every attraction echoes with the spirit of Europe.
After a long week filled with summatives and active participation in classes, it was time for some active rest. The boys as usual choose their favorite activities to relax their minds and have fun on this a bit colder but cozy Saturday.
Our well-being programme is back, and we’ve embarked on our second journey to raise awareness among our boys from Concha and Annexe.
Today marked the commencement of our exploration into the theme of “Protecting against Bullying and Respecting Diversity.”
Our initial focus involves uncovering the common bonds that unite us, inspired by the RISE values of the school.
Guided by Mr. Iker and Miss Ana, our student advocates have presented a challenge to the boys—can they discover similarities with their roommates? They now have several days to craft a short clip sharing what similarities they find.
Stay tuned as we’ll be sharing the results next week!
A heartfelt thanks to our dedicated student advocates: Diego, Amanda Regina, Ana Lu, Giuliana, Adi, Lulu, and Kseniia. Your contributions are truly appreciated.
