A Night in China: From Sweet to Sour

Dear Community of the Collège du Léman,

Every Wednesday, our dining hall takes us on a new culinary adventure, and this week, we explored the vibrant and diverse flavors of China! From sweet to savory, each dish was a delightful exploration of Chinese cuisine, offering something for every palate. The dining hall was beautifully adorned with red lanterns and delicate floral decorations, setting the perfect ambiance for our international dinner.

The menu included some classic favorites such as Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Shrimps, Beef with Onions, and Chinese Noodles. We also enjoyed a flavorful Stir-Fried Vegetable and Tofu dish, offering a delicious balance to the rich flavors of the meal. And, of course, no Chinese dinner is complete without a little sweetness—Fortune Cookies provided the perfect ending to our flavorful journey.

We look forward to seeing where our next international dinner will take us.

Please enjoy some photos from the evening below.

Best,

Collège du Léman Team!

Classic Comfort: Pasta with Bolognese Sauce

Dear Community of the Collège du Léman,

Last Monday, we decided to revisit a comforting classic—pasta with Bolognese sauce. This timeless dish, with its rich and flavorful meat sauce paired with perfectly cooked pasta, was a simple yet satisfying choice that brought a touch of nostalgia to our meal.

As always, don’t forget that our salad buffet is available to add a healthy, fresh element to your meal. It’s a great way to complement the richness of the Bolognese and enjoy a well-balanced dish.

We hope you enjoyed this classic comfort food, and we look forward to more delicious meals ahead!

Canadian Classics: Poutine and Pancakes

This week, our dining hall took us on a culinary journey to Canada, where we got to indulge in two iconic Canadian dishes: poutine and pancakes with maple syrup! The dining hall was beautifully decorated with touches of rustic charm, setting the perfect atmosphere for our Canadian-themed meal. We started with poutine, a delicious combination of crispy fries, savory gravy, and cheese curds that melted perfectly in every bite—truly a comfort food classic. For dessert, we savored fluffy pancakes drenched in rich maple syrup, a true Canadian staple that left everyone smiling.

These international dinners are a wonderful way for us to experience different cultures through food and celebrate the diversity within our community. A big thank you to our dining hall team for creating such a warm and welcoming Canadian experience. We can’t wait to see where our next international dinner will take us!

A Delicious Start to the Semester

Dear Community of the Collège du Léman,

Welcome back, everyone! After a long winter break, it’s so great to see everyone back on campus. What better way to reconnect and kick things off than with a delicious first dinner together?

Monday night’s meal was a fantastic way to settle back into the rhythm of campus life. The menu we enjoyed was fish served with a side of rice. We also enjoyed roasted eggplant, which added a smoky and hearty touch to the plate. Tying it all together was a fresh green sauce that made every bite stand out. It was a meal that felt welcoming and comforting, just what we needed to start the semester right.

Best regards,

College du Léman team!
