Dear Community of the Collège du Léman,
Today, our boarding school was transported to Argentina with a delicious dinner that showcased the best of Argentine cuisine. We kicked off the meal with Ensalada Criolla, a fresh and zesty salad made with tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, and a tangy dressing. The vibrant flavors were the perfect start to what was about to become an unforgettable feast.
The main course featured Guiso Criollo de Beef, a rich and savory beef stew that was cooked to perfection with tender beef, vegetables, and spices. This hearty dish truly captured the essence of Argentine comfort food. Alongside the stew, we also enjoyed Empanadas, savory pockets of pastry filled with seasoned meat, onions, and spices. They were crispy, warm, and absolutely delicious, adding an extra layer of flavor to the meal.
To end the dinner on a sweet note, we savored Flan de Dulce de Leche, a creamy caramel flan topped with rich dulce de leche. It was the perfect dessert to conclude an amazing meal. The evening was a wonderful celebration of Argentine culture, filled with great food, lively conversations, and lasting memories. We can’t wait to explore more international flavors in the future!
