An Evening at the Ballet

Yesterday evening a few CDL students had the opportunity to go to the Ballet.

The Béjart Ballet of Lausanne is a true reference in the choreographic world and in this Performance, created and set by Maurice Béjart, as a tribute to Jorge Donn and Freddy Mercury to the music of Queen and Mozart.

A hymn to love, passion, a fight for life and a snub to the coronavirus.

Cozy House Dinner

Today was Lasagna Night in the House and everyone enjoyed the layered pasta from Italian Cuisine, or is it?

Technically, Lasagna did not originate in Italy as you may expect. Its origin can be traced way back to Ancient Greece. The name Lasagna, or “Lasagne” is derived from the Greek word ‘Laganon’; the first known form of pasta. Laganon was not a traditional lasagna as we know it with traditional Italian ingredients, but it was composed of layers of pasta and sauce. So it basically got its name from the method in which it was made, not for its ingredients.

In anycase regardless from its origins, the Leman 2 Brothers enjoyed their dinner and spent time together this evening.  Have a look at our moment topped off with a amazing Lemon Pie !!!

Weekend Sunshine

This weekend, fantastic weather hit CDL and our boys were taken by the Seasons magic. Some even had the opportunity to visit the heart of the Haute-Savoie, the Valley of Chamonix to explore the stunning views and enter a Glacier!!

Spring is the season of positive energy, beauty, freshness and perfect for outdoor activities and nature walks. Have a look at a few pictures of what some of our champions were up to this weekend:

Amazing weather at CDL

The grass is green across the hill,
But yellow blooms the daffodil.
It’s sunshine on a little stalk,
A friendly flower, I bet they talk…

Of little kids, too long inside
They burst outdoors to play and hide.
Tracking mud and bringing bugs.
Look, there’s footprints on the rug!

Tiny whirlwinds, these little tykes,
They skin their knees while riding bikes.
They rip and roar, they’re running wild!
What fun it is to be a child.

It grows warmer every day.
Shoo the children out to play!
Pick the flowers, play in mud.
Too much rain, here comes a flood!

My snowy, winter days are gone.
I mourn them, but I hear a song
Of birds in trees; wind chimes ring.
I guess it might as well be spring!
